I have been in shock and at the same in pain since the news about the death of Ifeoma yesterday. Everyone who knew her was optimistic that she would return peacefully after the sum of ₦25,000,000 ransom was paid to the kidnappers. Ifeoma, a young woman, someone's daughter who just got elevated to the position of a branch manager by Polaris Bank. What a difficult time for her immidiate family. I was surprised since yesterday as I see people still go about their business as if nothing happened, not as if numerous people have not been kidnapped in Anambra here and many killed but imagine a helpless young lady murdered just like that. Its so painful to think, so painful to talk about and so painful to contemplate. I feel so devasted since yesterday. Some people are busy speaking English while their children are killed on the daily. Security agents now go about their business in rickety vehicles that can't outrun keke napep.
No one is safe. If you have the means relocate. Its not safe here.
May the soul of Ify and others who passed rest in peace.
