The Nigeria Police Force has arrested John Cosmos Govi for allegedly masterminding a robbery at a residence in Abuja involving conspiracy, housebreaking, theft, and the use of suspected harmful substances. According to police spokesperson ACP Anthony Placid, Govi, who trained at a catering school in Cotonou, gained employment as a chef in the residence after coordinating with two accomplices, Peter and Moses, who remain at large.

Investigators said he studied the household’s routines and security setup before allegedly drugging food served to occupants and security personnel on April 23, 2026, allowing his accomplices to enter the house, disable the CCTV system, and steal cash and 20 luxury wristwatches worth about ₦150 million. Police operatives later intercepted the suspects while they were reportedly fleeing through the Gwagwalada area toward Lagos, recovering the victim’s iPhone 17 Pro Max and a suspected chemical substance now undergoing forensic analysis.

“What Is My Crime?” — Hairy Lady Allegedly Rejected By Landlords In Port Harcourt Over Her Beard

A Nigerian woman identified as Uche HairyAngel has shared how she was allegedly rejected by several landlords and caretakers in Port Harcourt because of her beard.

In a Facebook post, Uche said one caretaker invited her from Owerri to inspect an apartment but later allegedly told her agent she refused to rent the house to her because of her appearance.

She claimed another landlord made her fill forms through his lawyer before allegedly admitting he was afraid to rent his house to her, while another reportedly increased the rent and demanded two years’ payment after seeing her, only to later rent the same apartment to someone else at the normal price and one-year agreement.

The young woman said the repeated rejection has caused her emotional stress, isolation, and depression.

“What is my crime?” she asked emotionally, while vowing that she would one day become a landlady in Port Harcourt herself.
