This is from someone who relocated back to Nigeria
When I shared my Japada story, some people say my village people have dragged me to Nigeria.. there was nothing people didnāt say.
The one I hate the most is people asking me why I returned to Nigeria? Imagine asking someone why they returned home; the land of his or her ancestors oo.
Do you ask a person that went to work why they returned home?, or a child that went to play why he returned home?
Trust me, the average Nigerian (especially those that have never travelled abroad) will never get it. Explaining is a complete waste of time.
I now have a Shortlet/airbnb in Nigeria and sometimes we get guests that come from abroad who havenāt come in decades and they came to bury their father or mother.. part of me always feel sad that, they didnāt come for decades to see their parents while they were alive but come to bury their bodies.. they always express regrets and sorrow over it.
Many people donāt realise, this life is not a rehearsal; this is it; thereās no second chance to most things right.
Itās unfortunate the problems we have in Nigeria but truth be told, thereās no place like home, no place like where you get to be part of your family weddings, birthdays, naming ceremonies, graduations etc.
What is life sef without quality time once in a while with your siblings, uncles, aunties, cousin etc?
Unfortunately people donāt seem to know the importance of the sun.. in Nigeria you donāt need vitamin D supplements because youāll get it naturallyā¦
The sun enables the body to produce vitamin D, essential for bone health, immune function and mood.
People need to know that sun increases the brain's release of a hormone called serotonin.
Unfortunately itās common for people not to value what they have and desire what they donāt have.
Our problem is lack of leadership that is willing to transform Nigeria. Nigeria would have been heaven on earth.
Believe it or not, thereāre massive numbers of Nigerians abroad that would return if certain things were in place.. I.e stable electricity
Nothing really day abroad if not for organised society š¤·āāļø
