Happy weekend! โค๏ธ
Okay, letโ€™s settle this one ๐Ÿ˜‚ If you could only eat turkey or chicken for one whole year, which one would you choose?
No changing your answer ooo! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฆƒ๐Ÿ”

If you were in your 40s or 50s, would you take on a mortgage? Why or why not?

One thing I really appreciate about Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
The moment a school bus puts out that STOP sign, every vehicle has to stop. ๐Ÿ›‘
It doesnโ€™t matter which side of the road youโ€™re onโ€”you stop and wait for the children to safely get on or off the bus.
You dare not drive past that stop sign. Everyone knows the rule and respects it. โค๏ธ
Back home in Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ, this is not something we were used to seeing, so it really caught my attention when I first came here.
Itโ€™s the little things that show how a society can prioritize safety and protect its children. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

I think Atlantic Superstore has some of the best plantains in Canadaโ€”very similar to the ones we use back home! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ
Wholesale Club also sells good plantains, and you can get them in boxes or individually, depending on what you need.
Where do you buy your plantains in Canada? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

Look what I found at Atlantic Superstore! ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ
Dried pepper โ€” both crushed and uncrushed โ€” for around $3!
For my fellow Nigerians and Africans, this is one less thing to worry about bringing from Nigeria. ๐Ÿ˜‚โค๏ธ Itโ€™s affordable, convenient and great for so many dishes.

Do you know what these fragrant beads are used for?
They are air fresheners that help eliminate unwanted odors and keep your space smelling fresh for longer. I found this Cherry Blossom scent at Dollarama for just $3. Have you used them before?

One thing I like about buying cooking oil in bulk is the savings! ๐Ÿ›’๐Ÿ’ฐ
I usually go for the canola oil from Costco now, and this 16-litre container is around $40. For my family, it can last almost two months, so it makes sense for us to buy in this quantity.
If you have a large family, buying your cooking essentials in bulk can really help you save money over time.

I went to Cobs bread to get the bread we usually eat at home because it tastes so much like Nigerian bread ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌโค๏ธ
But then I saw this French baguette and it immediately took me back to my childhood! ๐Ÿ˜
When I was little, I used to love this type of bread. Anytime I saw people selling or hawking it, I would always go for it! ๐Ÿ˜‚
So I said, let me try this one and see if it still tastes like the bread I remember from back then.
I tasted itโ€ฆ and honestly, itโ€™s nice! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ If you like this type of bread, you can definitely give it a try.
I also showed you the bread we normally buy from Cobs that tastes more like the Nigerian bread we are used to.

๐Ÿฅฅ Donโ€™t just pick any coconut!
This is the little technique I use when buying coconuts: I check the top for that dark/black heads and then give it a good shake to see if I can hear water inside. ๐Ÿ’ฆ
Itโ€™s not foolproof, but it has saved me from bringing home some disappointing coconuts many times! ๐Ÿ˜‚
Do you have another trick for picking a good coconut?
