The disrespect was so loud, but the apology didn’t even make a sound.

And that’s the part people don’t talk about enough. The damage was done publicly, deeply, carelessly… but the apology came quietly, almost like an obligation. No sincerity. No weight. No real acknowledgment of what was broken.

Some people will hurt you in ways that change how you see yourself, how you love, how you trust, how safe you feel around others… and then apologize as if they only stepped on your shoe.

What hurts the most is not always the disrespect itself, but realizing how little your pain meant to the person who caused it. Watching someone sleep peacefully after being the reason you cried yourself to sleep. Seeing them move on normally while you sit there replaying words, tones, silence, and moments in your head, wondering why your heart had to carry something they barely even noticed.

A real apology reaches the wound. It carries remorse. It carries accountability. It carries change. But some apologies are empty sounds spoken only to ease guilt, not to heal pain. And somehow, you’re expected to accept it because “at least they apologized.”

But some wounds deserve more than forced words and shallow regret.

The truth is, disrespect has a way of echoing inside a person. Long after the moment has passed, you still remember how small it made you feel. How unloved. How unseen. How easy it was for someone you cared about to choose pride, cruelty, silence, or carelessness over your heart.

And maybe that’s why healing becomes so difficult. Because you’re not only recovering from what happened… you’re recovering from the realization that someone you would have never intentionally hurt, hurt you without hesitation.

Some apologies are simply too quiet for the amount of damage they caused.

Though the moulding process may be uncomfortable like delays in marriage, getting admission, promotion, employment etc. It is ultimately for your good. Yielding to this divine process transforms us into vessels of honour, shaped by grace. Do not allow these moulding processes to discourage you. Depend on God's plans for your life. I pray by the Power of the Most High God, that as from this Month of August upwards, Jehovah God will irrigate our lives with rivers of peace, joy and happiness. He will fortify and keep closer watch over us like the City of the Strong and Mighty.

We are growing just to get buried.

And somehow, that truth is not as tragic as it sounds.

Because between the first cry and the final prayer, we are given this brief, trembling chance to exist. To love people imperfectly. To be loved in ways we don’t always recognize until much later. To carry grief, joy, disappointment, hope, faith, and memory all in the same heart.

We spend so much of life trying to become more... more successful, more understood, more certain, more healed. Yet in the end, the earth receives all of us the same way. Quietly. Without titles. Without applause.

Maybe that is why kindness matters so much. Maybe that is why softness is not weakness. Maybe that is why forgiveness is holy.

Because if we are all growing toward an ending we cannot escape, then the most meaningful thing we can do is leave gentleness behind in the lives we touch before we go.

One day, people may forget our achievements, but they will remember how safe we made them feel, how deeply we listened, how sincerely we loved, and whether our presence felt like peace or pain.

We are growing to get buried. But before that day comes, we are also growing to become human.

We continue with our tour of the European continent. The display showcases high fashion haute couture dressing. Each country will showcase male, female and couple dresses. Day 22: Haute Couture Fashion Across Asia

We continue on our Asian continent fashion display. The display showcases high fashion dressing using the colours of each country's flag to create the dresses. Each country showcases male, female and couple dresses. The models still remain myself Olori Olubunmi O. Adams-Esaghare, my sister Bukola Ogunleye, my brother Habay Oluwavindicateme Ogunleye and his wife Mary Ezinne.

The country on display today is Iraq. The official colours associated with the Republic of Iraq, based on its national flag, together with the recognised meanings attached to each colour and symbol.

Red: Red forms the top horizontal stripe of the flag. It symbolises courage, bravery, and the sacrifices made in the struggle for freedom and independence. As one of the traditional Pan-Arab colours, it also reflects Arab unity and shared heritage.

White: White forms the middle horizontal stripe. It represents peace, purity, and a hopeful future. In the Pan-Arab tradition, it also symbolises a bright and honourable future.

Black: Black forms the bottom horizontal stripe. It symbolises strength, resilience, and victory over oppression. As a Pan-Arab colour, it also represents the rich history and heritage of the Arab world.

Green: Green appears in the Arabic inscription on the white stripe. It represents Islam, the faith of the majority of Iraq's population. It also symbolises hope, prosperity, and growth.
