“I was living with my mom before I got married. After our wedding, my wife and I planned to apply for visas to move to the UK together.

Later, I asked her to put her plans on hold so I could travel first while she stayed behind to take care of my mom. My mom said she couldn’t live alone and wanted my wife to remain with her. Since my wife was the only one available, I felt it was the best decision.

My wife disagreed, and we had a small disagreement. Eventually, we stopped talking about it.

Now, she has suddenly told me that she has gotten her visa and plans to travel instead.

She said I should stay behind to take care of my mother, and that once she settles abroad, she’ll visit us often.
