πβ¨ Why spend money on expensive citrus soaps when you can make your own at home? This DIY Orange Glow Soap is easy to make, has a rich creamy lather, and makes a beautiful handmade gift.
Ingredients
Clear or Goat Milk Melt & Pour Soap Base β 500 g
Orange Extract β 1 tbsp (15 ml)
Sweet Orange Essential Oil β 15 drops
Vitamin E Oil β 1 tsp (5 ml)
Glycerin β 1 tbsp (15 ml)
Orange Mica Powder β Β½ tsp (optional, for color)
Orange Fragrance Oil β 10β15 drops (optional)
Liquid Germall Plus β 0.5% (2.5 g) (only if using water-based additives such as orange extract; add according to the manufacturer's instructions)
π Directions
Cut the melt-and-pour soap base into small cubes.
Melt the soap base in a microwave using 20β30 second bursts or in a double boiler until completely melted.
Add the orange extract, sweet orange essential oil, vitamin E oil, glycerin, orange mica powder, and fragrance oil.
Stir gently until everything is fully blended.
If using a preservative, allow the mixture to cool to the manufacturer's recommended temperature before adding it, then stir well.
Pour the mixture into silicone soap molds.
Spray the surface lightly with 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove air bubbles.
Allow the soap to cool and harden for 2β4 hours.
Remove the bars from the molds and wrap them to help prevent moisture from forming on the surface.
