At the age of eleven, the girl resided with her aunt, a single mother of two, who demonstrated extraordinary resilience. Despite the odds, the girl's journey was a testament to triumph, defying expectations and redefining her identity from a slave to a human being.
She goes to school everyday at late, following a rigorous morning routine that begins at 5:30. This entails walking thirty minutes to the shop, clearing the restaurant, cooking beans, and preparing necessary ingredients for her aunt before fetching water from her school premises. Her class mates laughs at her all day. In all of that odds she never joke with her studies.
It is a new term and she is to be promoted to JSS3, the aunt told her that is either she drop out of school and work for her for a whole year and begin again or she starts to pay her school fees by herself because she can't afford to pay her school fees anymore. Mercy know her background and having a clear vision of what she wants for herself and family, told her aunt not to worry that she will foot her own bills.
Mercy decided to change school from private to public school so she doesn't have to pay school fees again with her aunt knowledge,
During second term exam the students are to give oral speech during a P.T.A meeting, Mercy was chosen to give the speech, after mercy speech, the parents that came for the meeting where impressed with her speech, not just how fluant mercy was but the accent was a top notch to compare as a Nigeria brought up less of a public school student.
After the meeting the chairman of the board asked mercy to come and give them a closing speech. Mercy wasn't prepared for it but after the speech parents were left speechless. And that was a turning point for mercy.
Three months later, one of the parents that attended the meeting needed to advertise her product, called mercy for it and offered to pay her for a ransom. Without mercy aunt knowledge, she branded the products and people where calling her from left, right, front and center to advertise their products and mercy because a star
