One of the really funny experiences I've had with client staff is THEFT DONE BY LIFTING CARBON PAPER.
It was such a calculated move, no audit can ever detect that.
I am sharing this with you so that you stay vigilant, if in your business, you use manual invoices and receipts, follow me closely and BE AT ALERTđ€·
So it happened that a fellow colleague of the guy that perpetrated the fraud rushed into the office to see me, in summary, if not him. I would never have figured it out myself.

So the smart guy sold to a customer, wrote all the details on the invoice containing a carbon to allow for reflection on the duplicate copy.
But guess what â
At the point of writing the price, he smartly removed the carbon paper and smartly scribbled the price only on the original invoice.
Then, on the duplicate, he placed the carbon and then wrote carefully a different price.

Behold, it was discovered that a different price was issued to the customer, while a different amount was remitted to the company.
The culprit was dealt with in line with the company policies butđ
You see, this is just one out of many fraudulent activities that can be perpetrated with the use of manual invoice. I say this a lot to my clients, and let me say it here again.
THE USE OF MANUAL INVOICE is a GREAT LOOPHOLE in any business.
My advice: Go DIGITAL, TRASH THE PAPERS and GO DIGITAL. Adopt invoicing software and welcome overall growth and success in your business.
