I think every Nigerian citizen should learn how to read and write in English. Don't say, "English is not our language, I don't need it".

Places like banks, hospitals, and other public places outside your state of origin will open your black ignorant nyash to the world.

Let's stop pretending like English is not important. How do you feel when you give someone a confidential form to fill out for you?

Let's even talk about the respect that comes with speaking good English. Knowing how to speak English fluently is a flex no matter how you try to tweak it.

Let's also talk about how people are cheated because they do not understand English.

Don't be one of those people whose children will rob because they cannot read or understand English.

In a village council, the person who knows how to speak and write in English is always respected and often made the secretary, and no decisions can be made in the person's absence.

The person can decide to cheat others who do not understand the language when money is involved.

When I see some students graduating from secondary school without knowing how to read and write, it baffles me what they did in school for 12 years.

In everything you do, make sure you know how to read and write in English before you get lost in that new city you are planning to travel to.

And remember, English is and will always remain our lingua franca.

Be careful of who you give your baby to, even if the person is your relative.

I read a true-life story on Quora about a healthy baby who suddenly started rejecting food and throwing tantrums. He refused to be consoled by anybody, even his mother.

The only person who could calm him down was his uncle, and once he left, the baby would start crying and throwing tantrums again.

It became so intense that the family did not know what to do, so they decided to take the baby to the hospital.

When they got to the hospital, they told the doctor everything and how he often looked out for his uncle. The doctor smelled the baby's mouth and asked for the uncle.

When the uncle was brought before the doctor, he slapped him across the face to the amazement of everybody.

After that, he explained to everybody that the uncle had been giving drugs to the baby, and the baby got addicted to them.

His addiction grew to the extent that he didn't want to eat anything else, and when he didn't get the drugs, he would throw tantrums.

The baby was given medicine and cured of the addiction.
