7 things you should never do if youโ€™re about to get married ๏ฟฝ
Never Ignore Serious Red Flags:
Marriage does not magically fix problems that already exist in a relationship. If there are issues such as dishonesty, disrespect, uncontrolled anger, manipulation, or a lack of trust, do not assume they will disappear after the wedding. Take time to address these concerns honestly before making a lifelong commitment. It is far better to postpone a wedding than to enter a marriage while ignoring problems that could grow bigger over time.

2. Never Rush Into Marriage Because of Pressure:
Many people get married because of family expectations, age, societal pressure, or fear of being alone. These are not strong foundations for a successful marriage. Marriage should be a decision made out of love, commitment, and a shared vision for the future. If you feel pressured, take the time you need to ensure that you are making the decision for the right reasons.

3. Never Keep Financial Secrets:
Money is one of the most common sources of conflict in marriage. Before getting married, be honest about your income, debts, spending habits, financial goals, and expectations. Hiding financial information can damage trust and create major problems later. Open conversations about finances help couples prepare for a stable future together.

4. Never Stop Having Difficult Conversations:
Some couples avoid discussing topics such as children, religion, career goals, family boundaries, or where they want to live because they fear conflict. However, avoiding these conversations does not eliminate disagreements, it only delays them. Before marriage, make sure you understand each other's values, expectations, and long-term plans.

5. Never Neglect Your Personal Growth:
While preparing for marriage, it is important not to lose your individual identity. Continue developing your character, skills, faith, and personal goals. A healthy marriage is built by two mature individuals who continue growing together. The stronger you become as a person, the more you can contribute positively to the relationship.

6. Never Compare Your Relationship to Others:
Every relationship has its own journey. Comparing your relationship to friends, family members, or couples on social media can create unrealistic expectations and unnecessary dissatisfaction. Focus on building a relationship that works for you and your partner rather than trying to copy someone else's marriage.

7. Never Enter Marriage Without a Commitment to Serve and Sacrifice:
Marriage is not only about what you can receive; it is also about what you are willing to give. If your mindset is centered solely on your own happiness, you may struggle when challenges arise. Successful marriages require patience, forgiveness, understanding, and a willingness to put the needs of your spouse alongside your own. Enter marriage with a heart that is prepared to love, serve, and grow through every season of life

THE HISTORY OF IGEDE WITH PICTORIAL REPRESENTATION
IGEDE is one among the three ethnic tribes in Benue state.
The IGEDES hence called ALI'IGEDE Originated from ORA presently Edo State
ALI'IGEDE are the descendants of AGBA a high chief priest and a farmer.
ALI'IGEDE are described to be peaceful and hardworking thus lived in Peace, unity and harmony with the natives of ORA. the both tribes ALI'IGEDE and ORA had a very close relationship that they did everything together. They eat together, wine and dine together, play together,go to farm and streams together, and go about their daily activities together. The bond they share knew no bonds but this relationship didn't last forever as a smirkish came in between ALI'IGEDE and the native of ORA.

It all started when a lady from the native of ORA went to her friend who is an IGEDE lady to borrow her clay pot so as to go to the stream to fetch water. As usual the IGEDE people and the natives of ORA share everything together so the IGEDE lady went inside her house and brought out her new pot and gave her with stern warning not to break it.
The ORA lady left promising to return it unbroken.
She left for the stream in the company of her other IGEDE friends.they got to the stream fetched water and headed home on there way home the ORA lady had an argument with her other IGEDE friend and while the argument continues the IGEDE lady pushed the ORA lady and the borrowed pot fell down and broke.the ORA lady cried uncontrollably reminiscing over her promise not to break the pot.
Later on she went to her IGEDE friend to plead with her with a new Pot to replace the old pot but all her pleas to forgive her and collect the new pot fell on deaf ears as the IGEDE lady requested for the same pot she gave her which is impossible.
It lead to a dispute between the two tribes and they fought themselves violently. As the dispute could not be settled the IGEDE had to leave the land of ORA for another settlement in benue state...
