My father tried when were perceived to be lost souls in this part of the world. Infact he never disclosed it to his family and he was careful not to reveal it. Despite that, he still rolled with the likes of Ali Chukwuma and Prince Nicko barugo as an instrumentalist. However, he was not able to excavate his gift to the apex. As a child, I loved many things and I had many dreams but being a musician was never on the list. But one thing was certain, I was addicted to songs and sounds. Anything song , anything music. It was something I loved naturally. Any time we go to any occasion, I would prefer sitting or even standing beside the performing band. The feeling of watching them can not be explained.
My father's stereo tape also helped to increase my instinct about music . My father had all kinds of music; Yoruba songs, Ghana, Benin, south Africa, mosambique, Jamaica, anything music. Infact ; many of them I couldn't understand what they were saying but I enjoy it and mumur the words along .
As a child , professionally I wanted to be a medical doctor. I was also very brilliant, so it wasn't like book no Gree enter. I maintained first to third positions from nursery till secondary.
Well, as I kept growing, my interest for music started growing, to the point that I started writing songs. Sang them only in my rooms until 2009. 2009 was the first time I eve visited a Studio. Since then, we have kept pushing.
I also discovered that I can do different kinds of genre music and still do it well. But something is always paramount in my songs . I don't want to make noise . I don't want to do the popular thing, the reigning sound. I just want to sing and when someone listens , they pick a message that can impact them positively and morally , one way or the other . It is either I'm glorifying my marker or I'm blessing and impacting humanity.
As for "blow" , I am patient. Money is not actually the inspiration for me even though money is important. But, I want generations to listen to my song and it still impacts them.
