My father was not there when I was young. As a boy, I was angry. I couldn’t understand why. But now, as a man, I see things differently.
Nobody is perfect. I have forgiven him. Without him, I wouldn’t be alive. Even if the only thing he did was not pulling out or not using con-dom, it brought me here. For that, I honor him.
I no longer carry pain. I carry peace. My father is still alive, and for that too, I’m thankful. Life is too short to hold grudges. I choose to love him, not for the father he wasn’t, but for the man he is.
