MY HEART BREAKING LOVE STORY💔🥺
I still remember the day I met him- Othniel. It was at a friend's party, and his bright smile light up the room we locked eyes, and I felt an inexplicable connection. We talked for hours, sharing laughter and stories. I was swept of my feet.
As the days turned into weeks our bound grew stronger. We'd take long walks, have deep conversation and explore the city together. Othniel became my rock, my confidant, my everything. I'd never felt this way about anyone before.
Six months into our relationship, we decided to take the next step, genetic testing. We wanted to ensure our compatibility before making long terms plans. I wasn't worried. I'd always assumed we'd be fine. The day of the test arrived. Othniel held my hand as we walked into the doctors office. The doctors words changed everything.
Your genotype is AS, and his is AS.
My word crumble. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. How could this be? We were meant to be together.
Othniel's eyes mirrored my despair we'd planned a life, a future and not it seemed impossible. The risks of passing sickle cell disease to our children was too high. We left the doctors office in silence, our heart heavy. We knew what we had to do but, but neither of wanted to say it out loud.
Days turned into weeks and our conversations become straind. We couldn't bear the thought of living without each other, but our genotype made it impossible.
One faithful evening, we sat on our favorite bench, holding hands. Tears streamed down our face as we acknowledge inevitable.
"I love you" Othniel whisperd
" I love you too", I replied, my voice trembling.
We shared one last kiss, and our relationship came to an agonizing end. But as time passed i questioned faith wondering why we'd been brought together only to be turn apart. I then realized our love story though painful, taught me a valuable lessons.
LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS, BUT REALITY DOES.
