Real Life Story

This Pastor took my only source of livelihood

My name is (Anonymous) and I am a 38 yearsold widow with four children.

I am a Farmer, I rear goat and plant cassava on the piece of land my late husband left for me. I worked extra hard to raise my children, I try to be in good terms with my neighbour, a pastor who owns the church opposite my farm, but he just hates me for no reason.

Yes, he invited me for church programs a couple of times but i declined. I am a muslim, he shouldn't expect much from me.

He constantly complains about the stench and noise that comes from my farm. In all sincerity I try my best and I have called him on several occasions to beg him and make him reason with me.

One day, one of my she-goat gave birth to 3 kids. I was overjoyed as I knew how much I would make off them when they grow. I fed and took care of them before leaving.

Getting back to the farm the next day I met this pastor smashing a kid with a huge stone right in front of this church. For a second I taught I was seeing things. I recognised the lifeless goat lying on the ground at once. I became furious and pushed him hard in a fit of anger.

I mean, what could the innocent kid do to deserve such judgement. I turned around to see how it got out in the first place, I was sure I locked them up before leaving the previous day. I got the greatest shock of my life. Not a single goat was found.

I stood still, trying to process what was happening when I heard a loud scream outside my farm.

REAL LIFE STORY 1

I got married to my husband after 18 years of courting.

I know this may sound unbelievable, but it happened to me. After 18 years of dating my husband, I finally got married to him—and I am still facing the worst tragedy of my life.

My name is Kemi. I met my husband during my primary school days. Back then, I was a smart and hardworking girl, and I have grown into a smart and hardworking woman.

I dated my husband for 18 years before we finally tied the knot. During those years, I sponsored his education, clothing, and feeding. His family disliked him because he refused to join the family business, which was farming. He insisted on getting an education, and for this reason, they refused to support him. But I believed in him and in his dreams for our future.

He eventually gained admission into an engineering college, graduated, and later secured a job. I’m not taking all the glory for who he became, but it was largely because of my sacrifices. I worked extremely hard. I farmed twice as much as others, and I took on various odd jobs just to make it possible for him to succeed.

He gave me nothing in return. I wasn’t bothered, at least not then, because he was loyal. He reassured me with words and showed appreciation, and I was content with that.

A few weeks before our wedding, his elder brother called me from the village and warned me not to marry his brother. He said, “If you marry my brother, you will suffer. He is lazy and won’t take care of you.”

I ignored him. I thought his words came from bitterness

THE CURSED VESSEL
Chapter Three:

Denial

“Sir, she’s defensive even in her unconscious state. I think we should let her be until she regains consciousness,” the second servant said to Bryan.

“Cowards, you can’t even move close to this weakling?” Bryan mocked them.

The servants hesitated, standing a few feet away from Alicia. They had never witnessed such a scene and weren’t sure of what awaited them if they dared touch her.

“Move closer?” Bryan yelled at the servants.

Fearfully, they complied, inching closer to Alicia.

“Carry her from her hands,” said Servant One to Servant Two.

“No, since when did you start giving orders?” Servant Two replied. “You carry her hands, and I’ll carry her legs.”

The servants twisted and turned, trying to figure out how to lift Alicia, but they still couldn’t touch her. Bryan, fuming with rage, stepped forward and kicked them out of the way.

A loud bang reverberated through the hall, and part of the wall in the hallway shattered under Bryan’s force.

Bryan was violently thrown against the wall by Alicia. The crash was deafening. The sound resonated throughout the mansion, and the guards instantly went into defense mode, gathering at the scene. Residents rushed to investigate what had happened.

“What’s going on here?” Austin asked, rushing into the room after hearing the noise.

The second servant explained what had occurred, and Austin immediately went to help Bryan, who was partially paralyzed on his left leg.

“Call the head physician. And the head priest as well,” Austin ordered as he assisted Bryan back to his room. He didn’t even glance at Alicia, nor did he show any interest in asking about her.

“Everyone, move back. Return to your posts,” a deep, authoritative voice commanded from behind.

Everyone turned in unison, startled by the newcomer. The voice sent a shiver through the crowd.

Asher stepped forward, his gaze falling on Alicia. Without a word, he crossed the room and picked her up effortlessly.

The servants and onlookers were left dumbfounded as Alicia’s body, which had been surrounded by a strange energy earlier, seemed to calm as soon as Asher lifted her. They whispered among themselves, admiring Asher’s power and speculating about his influence.

“Yes, my Lord,” the servant stammered, leading Asher to Alicia’s room.

Asher returned to his quarters and threw himself onto his king-sized bed. His thoughts swirled like a storm, his head racing with questions. His mind flashed back to the scene earlier. How could he have acted so recklessly? What had driven him to rush to Alicia’s side like some mindless fool?
"No," he muttered, shaking his head vigorously. "She’s not my mate. She can’t be.

Chapter One: Unravelling Lies

Alicia’s heart pounded violently in her chest as she stood face to face with the two wolves. Each one, unmistakably resembling her mate, Asher, claimed to be him. The disbelief that gripped her was overwhelming—how could they do this? How could they wear his face and his voice, pretending to be him? Her mind swirled with confusion and anger, but deep down, she felt betrayed by the world that had once promised her peace.

But Alicia wasn’t a fool. She could sense their lies even before they spoke, and the weight of her frustration began to bubble up.

"Funny," Alicia’s voice cut through the silence like a blade, heavy with sarcasm. "Father and son, fighting over a luna. How pathetic," she continued, lifting her chin and meeting their gaze. Beneath the sharpness of her words, a knot of panic twisted in her stomach, but she refused to show it. They needed to know she was stronger than they thought.

Liam and Bertram paused, exchanging glances that only fueled Alicia’s fury. They had no idea what they were dealing with. They had underestimated her, assuming that her silence meant weakness.

“I know exactly what you came for,” Alicia’s voice was colder now, a sharp edge creeping in. "I’m done with this game. Let’s end it."

The two wolves hesitated, their eyes darting between one another. They hadn’t expected her to speak so confidently, so decisively.

Liam, still disguised as Asher, took a step toward her, his voice laced with false sincerity. "Alicia, come closer. Confirm for yourself. Don’t listen to this charlatan," he said, his words dripping with a sweetness that made Alicia’s skin crawl. "I’m the real Asher. I’m your destined mate."

Alicia’s lips curled into a tight, humorless smile. "Please. Spare me the performance." She took a step back, scanning them both with a sharp, calculating gaze. "Do you think I’m that gullible?"
