UPDATE: Proudly Esan has been able to reach out to Esther Momodu’s uncle, thanks to one of our sisters. The uncle disclosed the family has been able to make contact with the young lady and that plans are underway to bring Esther back from Ikorodu, Lagos.

Many thanks to those who shared the message with passion and concern, while praying the young lady is reunited with her family back home in Esanland. Ibharebhe Obulu Obulu

Reports reaching Proudly Esan say the girl in the picture below is seeking to reunite with her family members. Read and share until the information reaches the appropriate quarters.

A young lady is seen in the video going raving m@d after the love of her life presents an engagement ring to her. In the emotional video, happiness and obvious joy suddenly turns to frenetic wildness during the proposal ceremony. People have asked questions about the originality of the scene, posing questions like— is this acting or what? But going by the level of emotions, it doesn’t seem the video is a prank or joke. May Osenebua deliver our children from evildoers. Iseee

*OBITUARY*
*Mr. Monday Ikeaghe, a Gallant Esan man, Transitions to Higher Realm*

It’s with heavy heart that Proudly Esan announces the sudden transition of one of our reliable and committed members, Mr. Monday Ikeaghe @⁨Ikeaghe⁩.

Mr. Monday Ikeaghe, whose death has just been reported to us , was indeed, an active member of Proudly Esan group, at some point as recorded in the group’s annals. A passionate lover of his Esan ethnic identity, in the above voice note he sent to the platform, Ikeaghe expresses concerns over the incessant kidnapping cases in Esanland. Speaking as the head of a security unit in Benin city, Ikeaghe offered professional advice on the role of everyone in securing our homesteads emphasizing the need for collective vigilance.

It’s really sad that his life ended too soon at the young age of 56, leaving behind children and a wife.

I use this opportunity to enjoin all members of this noble family — Proudly Esan, to take out time in paying tribute and last respect to a great brother who has transitioned to a higher realm.

May the gallant and audacious soul of Mr. Monday Ikeaghe find eternal peace in the great beyond. Okinbue, Obhiaba.

NB: Please, let’s kindly put everything on hold today in honor of this great and illustrious Esan son who has ascended to the great beyond. Those who want to pay condolences in person, cash or kind, can reach out to his number @⁨Ikeaghe⁩ now under the care of the deceased’s wife.

It’s the head that ventures into the forest that attracts a twig on it. Written by Proudly Esan.

What does this poignant Esan worldview mean and how may it be applied in our daily routine?

This aphorism emphasizes abhorrence for indolence, while accentuating the benefits attached to adventure and a never-say-die attitude to life.

Our ancestors, through this dictum, teach the need for a continuous journey, striving for excellence and the inevitability of gains inherent in whatever activity we embark upon, channeled towards making new discoveries or expanding our mental and physical frontiers.

The Esan people, from whence this philosophy is derived, are popular for having inspiring worldviews such as this. Little wonder, therefore, we have been known for unalloyed commitment, and insatiable appetite for adventure, for hardwork and the zeal to break new grounds.

Never for once are the Esan people renowned for being beggarly or lazy. This concept is also reflective in one of our famous dances— the Ikhien Arimhin/ Igbabonerimhin acrobatic dance, an epitome of cultural splendor requiring unbelievable agility, mastery and exuberance to perform.

In the main, the message being put across is the undeniable fact that we are the descendants of great forebears who stamped their authority and wielded much strength, bravery and intellect in many fields of human endeavors.

Therefore, we do not need to fret but simply learn to follow the innate pattern, the footsteps on the matrix that have been laid down by our ancestors. Bearing in mind the constant flux of life, we can always tweak and improve upon the patrimony on ground, even while making new discoveries. Esan Oyeeee!
