Heavy security has been deployed to the Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, following the alleged stĂ·bbing dÂŁĂ·th of a Yoruba tricycle mechanic, an inc*dent that sparked viol3nt clĂ·shes, property destruction, and heightened ethnic tÂŁnsions in the community.
According to reports, the inc*dent occurred overnight on Tuesday, July 7, during an altÂŁrcation involving the vict!m and a svspected Hausa scrĂ·p collector.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the Yoruba mechanic was fatĂ·lly stĂ·bbed during the confrontation. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the inc*dent remain under investigation, with confl!cting accounts emerging over what l3d to the attĂ·ck.
Some reports claim the dispvte may have been linked to allegations of thÂŁft or a fa!led Point of Sale (POS) transaction, while others describe the inc*dent as an unprov0ked attĂ·ck.

The ki||ing reportedly tr!ggered prot3sts on Wednesday, as groups of youths clĂ·shed with members of the Hausa community.

In response, the Oyo State Police Command, supported by Operation Bvrst operatives, military personnel, and ant!-cult!sm units, deployed heavily to the area to restore order.
