🕊️ Muhammadu Buhari (1942–2025): A President, A Patriot

Whether you agreed with his politics or not, Muhammadu Buhari’s first term as President of Nigeria (2015–2019) marked a turning point in several areas of our national life.

Here are some of his notable contributions from that era:

🔐 Security:
Under his leadership, Boko Haram lost the territories it once controlled in the Northeast. Military operations were strengthened, and Nigeria regained control.

💸 Anti-Corruption:
Buhari enforced the Treasury Single Account (TSA) and launched the Whistleblower Policy, leading to the recovery of billions in stolen funds — including the famous Ikoyi cash.
His fight against corruption was bold, and for many, unprecedented.

🚆 Infrastructure:
He brought progress to long-abandoned projects:
• Abuja–Kaduna railway became fully operational.
• Lagos–Ibadan rail line took shape.
• The Second Niger Bridge finally saw real work after decades of talk.
• Road projects nationwide got serious attention.

🌾 Agriculture & Economy:
Through the Anchor Borrowers’ Programme, Nigeria reduced its reliance on imported rice and empowered thousands of farmers.
The Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) guided the country through recession and refocused our priorities.

👥 Social Investment:
Millions benefited from:
• N-Power
• TraderMoni / MarketMoni
• School feeding programmes
• Cash transfers to vulnerable Nigerians.

🖥️ Digital & Governance Reforms:
He strengthened financial accountability with BVN, NIN, and launched the Open Treasury Portal to track government spending.

He was far from perfect, but Buhari served with a deep sense of duty and a quiet resolve.

Dr. JP Joshi father of Dr. Prateek Joshi couldn't hold back his tears while stating his son's Family who will be migrating in London.
Dr. Prateek Joshi, a radiologist working in London, his wife, Dr. Komi Joshi, a pathologist from Rajasthan, and their three children, a 9-year-old daughter, Miraya, and 4-year-old twin boys, Nakul and Pradyut, were among the 241 passengers who lost their lives in the Air India Flight AI171 crash on June 12, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
"My grandchildren were so happy to be moving to London.

My grandsons slept with me the whole night. We had purchased their school bags. They slept all night with their school bags, saying they would now study in London," said Dr. JP Joshi, father of Dr. Prateek Joshi.😢💔

Something about this crash doesn’t sit right

A Boeing 787 is one of the most advanced passenger aircraft in the world. It’s built to handle engine failures, weather, and even major system issues. Yet today, one crashed right after takeoff from Ahmedabad

What’s deeply unusual:
◾️The plane was in the air for less than a minute
◾️It reportedly didn’t climb beyond 600 feet
◾️The landing gear may not have retracted
◾️No clear distress call was received
◾️The aircraft was fully fuelled for a long-haul flight
◾️This is the first fatal crash of a 787 in commercial service

This isn’t how a modern plane is supposed to behave. Not a 787. Not under normal conditions

Something serious went wrong either with the aircraft itself, or with the checks before takeoff.

People lost their lives today. Families are waiting for answers. And the aviation system must respond with honesty, urgency, and care.
