RIVERS STATE EMERGENCY RULE:LAWMAKERS TO PROBE IBE'S ADMINISTRATION.

In line with what is going to be transparency and accountability as stated by the President in his release on preparations speech to the Sole Administrator of Rivers State Ete -Ibas enjoys him to make his handling over notes to be clearly on how his administration fair within the emergency rule periods of six month.

This has prompted the Rivers state House of Assembly to carry out investigation on the State finances during the six months tenure of Ibe-Ete Ibas ,who served as the Sole administration.

Revolution to this was ,passed during the assembly 's first plenary last Thursday .
Lawmakers also directed Governor Siminalaye Fubara to submit a list of Commissioner nominees for screening.

It is noticeable that ,the state of emergency came into being in Rivers on March 18 2025 after a protracted political rifts between Governor Siminalaye Fubara, and Federal Capital Teritory Minister Nyeson Wike.

By the proclamation of the rule ,Tinubu had Suspended, Fubara, his deputy ,Ngozi Nma -Odu,and members of the state assembly for an initial Six month period before appointing Ibas to over see the state Affairs.

DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT RESTORED IN RIVERS STATE.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the end of the six month state of emergency imposed on River State ,declaring that democracratic government will fully resume in the State From September 18 2025.

It could be recalled that in March 18 this year,2025,President Tinubu declared the State of emergency to ease constant feud ravages the State between the State Governor Sir Siminalaye Fubara,and the Law makers which put the oil reaching State in to disarray.

The Governor , His Excellency Sinamilaye Fubara ,the deputy ,Governor Her Excellency Ngozi Nima Odu. ,and members of the Rivers state House of Assembly. resumed duties today 18TH of September 2025.

HAJJ 2026:NO EXTENSION OF SAUDI DEDLINES.----PROF.ABDULLAHI SALEH USMAN.

As year 2025,going to an end less than four months to this time ,we shall be welcoming the new year 2026,which is around the corner. Some of the years therein which was celebrated in good and peacefull atmosphere can not be wipe out in memories. Major of the festival that came up in the year 2025,was great Sallah of the Muslim ummah,which attached to hajj Operation.

The 2026,Hajj is very much around the corner so therefore it deserves and worthy of preparation This had made it imperative for the stake holders in the industry meeting over how the operation of it,this year 2026 would be conducted in a peacefull atmosphere while in Holyland in Mecca Al Mukarramat..

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)made appeal to all stakeholders to strict comply with the time lines set by the Saudi Arabia authorities, for the 2026 Hajj operation, that there would not be any extension for the issuance of Visa processing, payment or contractual agreements.

This happened to be the main message at the post hajjis' Stakeholders meeting with licensed tour Operator Companies held at the Hajj House ,Abuja .The meeting was chaired by (NAHCON)Chairmen/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Selah Usman at the instance of his Commissioners.

In his Speach, Prof.Usthman shows appreciations to the state pilgrims Welfare Boards ,private tour operators,and services providers for their Contributions to the success of the 2025 Hajj operation. Also ,he acknowledged,the Support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration ,which enabled Nigerian pilgrims to performed pilgrimage with ease,dignity and comfort.

"The commission is also committed to Collaboraton fairness and transparency "Prof.Usman remarked "But at thesame time ,we expect total compliance from all stake holders as we work together to improve service delivery and meet global best practices. "

The Saudi "have made it clear very clear the dates on their Calenda will not be extended by even one minutes"
On the Financial aspect of preparation, NAHCON Commissioner of policy ,personal management and finance (PPMF)Prince Aliu. Abdul Razaq., briefed participants on funds,pending complaints and payment process.

Similarly, Commissioner planning Research, Statistics ,information and Library Services (PRSICS),Prof.Abubakar commanded tour operators on their 2025 Hajj successful outing and conduct .

The meeting Concluded with a vote of thanks from the Director of Inspectorate ,and Compliance Alhaji Alidu Shutti.,who described the session as one of the most productive engagements between (NAHCON)management and licensed tour operators in recent times and praised the NAHCON Leadership for approving and coordinating meeting.

DANGOTE REFINERY REDUCES PETROL COSTS,PLAN DIRECT DISTRIBUTION, MONDAY.

Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in petrol prices ,along side the rollout of direct fuel distribution to 11 states ,effective Monday September 15th 2025.

This development was disclosed in a statement released on Thursday via the Group official x account.

According to the Refinery, pup prices have been reduced to #841 per litre in Lagos, and the South West,and # 851,per litre in Abuja ,Edo,Kwara,Rivers,and Delta States. The gantry price has been set at #820 per litre.

The free distribution scheme, initially scheduled for August, was delayed due to logistic botheneck in China.

As part of the new arrangement, registered fuel Stations across 12 States will benefit from free delivery of PMS, with plans to gradually expand the services nationwide.

Stations operators are being urged to register, to access the scheme,which is expected to streamline fuel Supply and Sterghten distribution nation wide in participating States.

RIVER STATE : FUBARA ,DEPUTY,ASSEMBLY, SET TO RETURN SEPTEMBER 18.

The president and Commander in chief of the Armed forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,has ordered the River state administrator Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas( retired) to handover to Fubara ,Deputy,Assembly to return September 18.

According to the report reaching out to newsmen on Sunday September 7,2025,following a close doors meeting between President Bola Tinubu and the Sole Administrator at the Presidential Villa last Wednesday, strong signal have emerged, that Suspended Governor Siminalaye Fubara ,deputy,Prof.Ngozi Odu and the 32 member State Assembly members may be reinstated on September 18.2025.

The meeting marked a significant turning point in Rivers political crisis. Source in Presidency disclosed that President Tinubu instructed Ibas to prepare a thorough handover documents covering his six months tenure as an administrator before embarking on his scheduled 10 day Vacation.

The directive expected Ibas to provide a detailed brakedown of the State finances under his watch.These include ,funds he inherited from Fubara's administration, internally generated revenues,and Allocation received during emergency rule.

Also to state how these funds were spent,specifying the projects executed, the amounts allocated to each,and their current status.
This laudable step showed the President's way of ensuring accountability and transparency while preparing the ground for the return of democracratic government in Rivers state.

The Wednesday, night meeting is therefore seen as decisive ,shutting down attempts to extend military style rule in the state and clearing the path to Fubara and his team to resume office.

Political Analysts believe ,the President intervention may help stabilise the Rivers political landscape after month of uncertainty, under emergency administration.

"WE ARE UNDER ATTACK "-- OJULARI.

The NNPC boss Engnr Bashir Bayo Ojulari,has declared that the company is" under attacks"by forces opposed to it's on-going transformation done.The NNPC boss cries out and vows that reforms will not stop ,but shall continue unabated.

This revelation was made while hosting leader of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN)at the NNPPC Towers in Abuja ,stressed that the reforms will continue despite mounting pressures.

He insisted that the Management Team remains committed to reviving Nigetia's refineries through Sustainable models ,noting that "Change always comes with price:

In response, PENGASSAN executives commended Ojulari's leadership,pointing to reduced crude oil theft and improves pipeline operations as clear gains of his five months tenure.

SIMINALAYI FUBARA RESUMES OFFICE ON SEPTEMBER 18TH

IF things goe as expected for the people of Rivers State on the issues of governance , the state elected governor who had been in charged of the state before the emergency rule descended down on him in March 18TH, by the president and Commander in chief of the Armed forces,President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCON.

However, it is on note that Governor Fubara,elected governor of PDP would back to State House with significantly reduced powers as the Federal Government and his state political arch rival ,Minister of Federal Capital Teritory Nysom Wike holds to the State firmly.

A Presdency source told reporter that part of peace frame work include last weekend's local government Elections where by ALL PROGRESIVE CONGRESS sweep twenty seats out of twenty three chairmanship seats.

Moreover,Fubara's reinstatement was on conditions that would not make him to be in full control of the state on critical governance issues.
Furthermore ,the source said,"He will not control the local government and the Rivers state House of Assembly. This is to ensure that peace reigns.

Also,it was learned that ,the governor would be presented with a list of commissioners from Abuja ,which he would then forward to the House of Assembly for confirmation. Aside,He Fubara,will lost Cabinet composition to Nysom Wike as key appointments,projects,capital projects and major expenditures will also be dictated by the Presdency, for the avoidance of further clashes between the Lawmakers.,

In What they presume impossible,the administration of PBAT is proving the possibility of it,and rekindle the shattered hope of the Eastern Region people to alive after years of delay and neglect ,the Eastern Region is Finally getting attention, as President Tinubu sets aside a huge capital of $3billon for the much anticipated rails project .
A major move to boost regional Connectivity and Economic growth.

TRAGEDY: A MAN FLOGS HIS WIFE TO DEATH.

A man in Ekiti, in south Western Nigeria flogs his wife Mrs Modupe. Alaasin to death for coming late to farm by her husband (name withheld)in Efon Allllaaye in Ekiti State.

An eye-witness, revealed that ,the late Modupe Alaasin begged for padon which was not honoured by the husband as the beating continued.She later collapsed and died while fetching water from nearby stream .

Ekiti Police Confirmed the incident .Her husband has been arrested ,and investigation is ongoing .

This Shocking incident highlights the urgent need to address domestic violence and protect vulnarable individuals in our communities.Abuse of communities safety should be discouraged in our Country.

NIGERIA ON THE RISE AGAIN ----- TINBU

The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,was in Japan on(TICAD9) Summit. He arrives in Tokyo,Japan,early on Tuesday to join other African leaders,international development partners, and stake holders at the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on Africa Development. (TICAD9)

The event was on from August 20 -,22 at Pacifico Yokohama.Tinubu told Nigerians in Diaspora "Come Home Nigeria is Rising Again "
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called on Nigerians in Diaspora to return home ,Stressing that the Country is on a new path of growth and needs their Skills ,investment and ideas.

While Speaking on Yakohama ,Japan with the Nigeria Community at the Tokyo International Conference on Africa Development (TCAD9).Tinubu said
"Don't stay away for Nigeria to grow, your contributions are needed, if you stay away who will build for you.?"

Tinubu reminded Nigerians abroad that, true Citizenship is "about character, Commitments, and working together for our Nation's progress ".He therefore urged the Diaspora to be good ambassador of Nigeria ,projecting positive images to encourage global investment.

TICAN9 ,with the theme "Concrete innovative Solutions with Africa ",will focus on Africa's economic transformation and improvements in the business environment and institutions through private investment and innovation. It would also promote a resilient and Sustainable African Society for human security, peace and Stability.

IMPORT FEES NOW 4% PBAT IS WORKING NIGERIA IS MOVING HIGHER.

In a move to alviate the suffering of the populace,over the difficulties experiencing by the masses over the removal of oil subsidy. The Federal Government is to replace the old import fees with a Single straight forward 4% charge ,which would be known as unified charge.

Prior to this time ,importer were paying different hidden and confusing fees,like 1% CISS,and 7% collections charges. This new system is more better ,simplier and easier.

This would enable the importers plan better and won't be hit with surprise cost., making things difficult.
The process has been moved to the B'Odogwu digital platforms, which means Faster Cargo Clearance, less human interference, and fewer chances for corruption or illegal payments.

The new system is expected to lower the Cost of bringing goods into the Country, and when importers spend less,it would reduce the prices of goods in the market .It's a Step towards running our port in more mordern globally accepted ways.

ALL PROGRESIVE CONGRESS (APC)SWEEPS BYE -ELECTION.

The bye elections gone and the winners emerged at all polls conducted last Saturday. The results of the elections announced on Saturday/Sunday the 16th &17th of August 2025.

In What could be described as outright winning for the rulling party the progressive Congress, when the party displays her elections might by clinching 12 of the i6th legislative Seats contested on Saturday bye elections on Saturday bye election across States of the Federation .

According to the result released by the Independent National Electoral commission INEC , the APC won Seats on over in the bye elections in Ogun,Edo,Niger, Kaduna,Tarba ,Jigawa,Adamowa,and Kogi.

The ruling party APC Shared the two Seats in Kano with the New Nigeria People Party NNPP..But found it impossible to out weight the ALL Progresive Ground Aliance in Anambra,and the People Democratic Party in Oyo.
The stands now showed that APC won 12 Constituencies,APGA won 2,PDP won One
,and NNPP won One place respectively..
