‎Not too long ago, my 15 year old daughter started feeling very unwell. She kept catching colds that never seemed to go away.
‎
‎She complained of mouth sores, muscle aches and cramps, constant headaches, and drastic weight loss.
‎
‎At first, I thought it was just a cold caused by the change in weather, so I kept delaying taking her to the doctor.
‎
‎But when her weight dropped dramatically, I finally decided to take her to see one. I explained all her symptoms to the doctor, and he said he needed to run some tests.
‎
‎I agreed because I wanted to know exactly what was wrong with our daughter.
‎
‎Later, the doctor asked to speak to me alone in his office. He looked very worried, which made me even more anxious.
‎
‎Why would he want to talk to me without my daughter present? He then asked if my husband or I were HIV positive. I found the question strange and told him no, neither of us was.
‎
‎That was when he delivered the devastating news: our daughter had tested positive for HIV.
‎My world came crashing down. I didn’t know how to process it.

‎I immediately started wondering how on earth this could have happened to my child.
‎
‎The doctor explained that they needed to test my husband, me, and our other children as well. We all agreed. Thankfully, all our results came back negative.

‎We asked our daughter what had been going on. At first, she refused to tell us anything- not me, not her father. We kept trying, but she stayed silent.

‎Eventually, the doctor spoke to her privately and gently persisted until she opened up.

I met him in a keke.

Not on Instagram.
Not in church.
Not at a party.

I entered first. He entered last.
Only one space left — beside me.

Our eyes met for 2 seconds.
That kind of eye contact that will make you adjust your wig.

He said,
“Sorry, can I sit?”

As if there was any other place to sit.

Few minutes later, the keke hit pothole.
My shoulder jammed his chest.

He said, “You can hold me if you’re scared.”

Omo.

I held the iron rod instead.

When we reached my bustop, he paid for my transport without asking.
I said, “Thank you.”

He said, “You’re welcome… what’s your name?”

I lied.

I don’t know why Nigerian girls do that.

He smiled and said,
“I know that’s not your real name. But I’ll still find you.”

I laughed and left.

Two days later, I saw him again.

Same keke route. Same time.

This time he said,
“Hello, real name.”

I almost fainted.

Today, that keke stranger is the reason I smile at my phone like a fool.

Moral of the story?

DSS STRUGGLES FOR ANSWERS AS SOWORE USES RENO OMOKRI VIDEOS TO CHALLENGE CYBERCRIME CHARGES

Fresh controversy erupted at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday as the trial of activist Omoyele Sowore took an unexpected turn, exposing uncomfortable questions for the Department of State Services (DSS) over its handling of criticism against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The tension rose during cross-examination when Sowore’s lawyer, Marshal Abubakar, presented video footage showing former presidential aide Reno Omokri making sweeping allegations against Tinubu on national television—remarks that appeared to attract no legal action.

The clips, tendered via a flash drive, were played in open court while Cyril Nosike, a DSS operative and the prosecution’s first witness, looked on. One video showed Omokri during a 2023 ARISE News interview claiming he possessed court documents from the United States allegedly linking the President to drug-related offences.

“Bola Tinubu is a known drug lord. I have documents to prove it,” Omokri stated in the broadcast.

Another clip captured Omokri insisting he would never align politically with Tinubu.

Abubakar seized the moment to question why the DSS later cleared Omokri for an ambassadorial appointment despite those statements, while Sowore is facing prosecution for calling the President a “criminal” online. The DSS witness admitted he could not explain the agency’s decision.

If you’re partly wrong, humility protects your reputation better than pride ever will. Fighting Verydarkblackman when facts already exist on record doesn’t make you look bold, it makes you look insecure. Since presented documentation around , the mature move was quiet recalibration, not escalation. Real power knows when to go silent.

Now suddenly reframing the entire saga as “planned between brothers” after realizing the public narrative is lost is textbook damage control. You don’t insult someone, drag their family, raise tribal sentiments, then later claim it was all strategy. That’s not a strategy, that’s retreat dressed as friendship.

VDM is not playing games with anyone. He has consistently shown that he does not sacrifice integrity or insult the intelligence of Nigerians just to save face. When he brings receipts, he stands on them. He doesn’t rewrite history after the fact.

And this is the most important part people keep ignoring!

Running to tribal sentiment to rally support is an old and tired playbook. It may trend short-term, but long-term it stains credibility.

Strong men take responsibility. Wise men retreat quietly when facts are against them.
Only insecure men rewrite the story and shout “we planned it together” after losing control of the narrative.

This isn’t brotherhood... It’s cleanup.

I have processed over 200 trademark registrations for my clients, and I have also trained over 250 lawyers on the trademark registration process. I believe I should be able to give an expert review of the current issue between VDM and Blord.

1. The truth is that Blord is just marketing his products using simple, provocative tactics to generate traffic for his newly launched app. As of today, January 20, 2026, there's no record of the brand name "Ratel" in Blord's favour (hence his claim is false).

2. Trademark registration isn't like CAC registration, where a single registration grants exclusive rights to a business name. In trademark registration, there are about 45 different classifications (industries), and any brand owner who intends to enjoy exclusive rights to his brand name must register the brand across the 45 classes before you can claim exclusive rights to a brand name.

3. We conducted a search this morning and out of the 45 classifications, VDM as at 17th of January 2026 only registered "Ratel" under classes 38, 35, and 45. The implication of registering the mark under 3 classes only is that anyone can register "Ratel" under any of the remaining 42 classes.

4. It's important to note that Blord had every opportunity to trademark the name under the remaining 42 classes even before releasing his Application assuming he harbours any negative intentions towards VDM.

5. As of today, VDM has completed the registration of "Ratel" under the remaining 42 classes and therefore, he's the rightful owner of the brand name "Ratel" and can issue a cease and desist letter to anyone using the brand (subject to some exceptions).

6. This is rather a win-win situation for all parties. I advise us to desist from dragging tribal sentiment in this issue because most VDM fans are also Igbos (myself inclusive). If Blord wanted to register "Ratel", he would have done so since he noticed that VDM's registration was previously done in 3 classes only.
It's a win-win situation because Blord was able to market his products and currently using the engagement to market his Real Estate businesses, and VDM was prompted to register its brand name across all classes.

Please note that trademark offers more secure brand protection than CAC registration. The fact that you have CAC registration is not enough. Send a message for your trademark registration, copyright registration, SCUML registration, BPP, TIN, NCC, PENCOM, Patent CAC, etc.

Now is clear BLORD was just playing and only wanted to use Ratels and VDM promote his businesses‼️
