Self-control is not a weakness, It is protection.
In Bible, cities had walls for security.
Without walls, the city was exposed to attack, theft, and destruction, no defense, no boundaries.
That’s what happens when we lack self-control.
When we say,
“That’s just how I am.”
“I have anger issues.”
“I can’t help it.”
We are not being honest — we are being unguarded.
Every time we lose our temper carelessly, react without thinking, or speak without restraint, we lower our walls. And when the enemy sees broken walls, he doesn’t hesitate.
Self-control is not about suppressing emotions, It’s about governing them.
You can feel anger without letting anger rule you.
You can be hurt without becoming harsh.
You can be firm without being explosive.
Ask yourself this Today;
Where are my walls broken?
Prayer:
“Lord, build discipline in me. Teach me restraint. Help me guard my spirit so I am not easily invaded. In Jesus Name, Amen.
