In 2018, Roy, Wizkid's former bodyguard, suffered stab wounds and beating at a club while protecting Wizkid.
Roy recounted the experience in an interview, stating: Wizkid pays me to protect him at all costs, and I was merely carrying out my duties. However, my motivation for risking my life wasn't solely the financial compensation; it was the knowledge that Wizkid would help me if I were in danger.
Wizkid views his employees as family, not just staff. He demonstrated this by supporting me throughout my hospital stay. I would willingly endure another 1000 stab wounds for Wizkid because, beyond being a musician, he's a compassionate individual who doesn't just seek to impress. I will remain forever loyal to Wizkid.
