Exactly 7 years ago today, I began the journey toward marriage with my wife, JT, as we had our Yoruba introduction — the first major milestone after about 5+1 years of dating.
I was filled with joy as I formally introduced myself and my family to my wife's family.
Since then, it has been an incredible journey that I continually thank God for.
We always wanted our introduction to fall in our birth month — with JT’s birthday on July 15 and mine on July 20. Now, we get to celebrate this special day just a week after mine, and even more beautifully, our first child shares birth months with us. Truly, July is our month of joy.
Back then, our story felt like a fairy tale, full of hope, uncertainty, and prayers. We didn’t know where it would lead, but we were sure that if it ended in marriage, it would be a beautiful one.
And it is indeed now!...I would gladly do another 70 years!
I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of our story since then.
