If you are a DJ please comment, share your opinion on this or tag your DJ friend. Djs are saying they don't need a performance license that it’s the event centers and club owners that needs it. Except you are making mixtapes to put out publicly then you can obtain a mechanical license or if you are hosting your personal events then you can obtain a performance license.

Please the Nigerian DJs community needs your help to get this message out there. DJs are not Slaves.The artist should come out and speak if they really want the DJs to be paying them royalties for playing their songs.The implementation of a mandatory license from the Music Copyright Society of Nigeria (MCSN) for DJs is an unnecessary and burdensome imposition on creative professionals in the entertainment industry. DJs play a crucial role in the entertainment ecosystem, providing music and entertainment to diverse audiences across various venues. They are already heavily invested in their craft, investing in equipment, music collections, and hours of practice to hone their skills and entertain the masses.
