WHY BAD THINGS KEEP HAPPENING TO YOU – APOSTLE AROME OSAYI
In order for you to eventually take up the image of Christ, which is the approved manifestation of God's image, God, in His wisdom, decided to give you a calling and a purpose to fulfill. That purpose is the context in which God places you. It contains all the challenges needed to make you permanently dependent on God, all the troubles required to make you recognize that you have no way of survival apart from Him.
So, you yield to Him so deeply that you eventually take on His image. His objective is that we take on the image of Christ, begin to think the way Jesus thought, obey the way Jesus obeyed, and function the way Jesus functioned.
The context in which He places you, hoping to achieve that transformation, is the context of your calling, purpose, and ordination. It is through trouble, challenges, and circumstances that you come to realize how much you need God.
God doesn't call you to carry out a spiritual assignment because you are educated. He calls you because His calling is not based on your cognitive abilities. His calling is meant to fulfill a spiritual purpose. If God has never called you, you will never truly understand how much you need Him.
Some of you wouldn't even be going to church today if not for a spiritual arrow that was fired at you. That is why challenges are important, they reveal how much you need God.
