POVERTY IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WEALTH. AND NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT.
You think being rich is expensive? Try being POOR.
The poor man can't afford to buy a bag of rice at N65,000 wholesale. So he buys cups at N500 each until he's spent N120,000 on the same bag of rice.
The rich man buys wholesale once. Saves N55,000.
Who paid more for the same rice? The poor man.
The poor man can't afford health insurance at N50,000 a year. So when he gets sick, he pays N500,000 in hospital bills.
The rich man's insurance covered everything.
Who paid more for the same sickness? The poor man.
This is what I call the POVERTY TAX.... the extra cost of not having enough money to make the smart decision. You can still have money and still suffer poverty of the mind.
Poverty forces you to buy low quality at high frequency while wealth allows you to buy high quality at low frequency
Poverty makes you pay MORE for LESS.
Wealth makes you pay LESS for MORE.
So the next time you think "I can't afford the expensive option".... calculate what the cheap option is actually costing you over 12 months.
You will discover you have been paying a premium for being broke.
I used to think in this old way before I changed my mindset around it. The way out? Start thinking in total cost, not just price.
That N5,000 phone charger from the roadside that spoils every month? You will buy 10 of them this year = N50,000.
But that N20,000 original charger from the store? It lasts 2 years.
Poverty is expensive but we don't realise because we dont pay attention to cost.
Wealth is more efficient my brother, choose efficiency even when it hurts upfront.
WISDOM saves you money that prayer alone won't.
