A law student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University has allegedly died, prompting calls for justice and criticism of the hostel mistress. Ajana Isabella, an Elmada hostel resident, and her roommates lost their room key and needed a replacement. When they approached their hostel mistress, Madam Bright, for a spare key, she demanded payment, citing hostel policy. The spare key allegedly cost N120,000, with each roommate expected to contribute N40,000. The students claimed they were unable to afford the amount immediately, highlighting Ajana's urgent need for diabetes medication. Their pleas were disregarded, and Ajana's condition deteriorated until she collapsed and was hospitalized on July 6, eventually passing away on July 9. Unizik students are now demanding justice.
