They said a woman without a husband is incomplete. I laughed. Because if that were true, then I should have disappeared the moment my marriage ended. But look at me now, alive, thriving, fulfilled, and at peace.
The biggest lie society tells women is that our worth depends on who we marry. That’s why so many endure pain just to keep a ring. But peace is better than pretense. I’d rather be alone and free than tied to someone who drains my light.
If I ever meet a man who loves me right, I’ll embrace it. But if not, I’ll still be fine. My dreams don’t depend on a man’s validation. Every woman should learn to build joy within herself. Because a woman who knows her value doesn’t chase love, she attracts it, and she never begs for peace.
