The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has released its Physical Screening Protocols for applicants who successfully progress through the Computer-Based Test (CBT) stage of the 2026 recruitment exercise.
The physical screening will require successful candidates to present specific documents, clothing, personal items and other materials. NAQS has also provided guidelines on personal appearance and items that are prohibited during the exercise.
NAQS Recruitment Physical Screening 2026 Requirements
According to the latest NAQS physical screening notice, candidates who successfully scale through the CBT stage are required to present the following items:
- Two passport photographs.
- Certificate of Medical Fitness from a certified government hospital, including the original and three photocopies. Candidates are advised to ensure they are free from malaria.
- Two pairs of white shorts and round-neck T-shirts.
- A pair of white trainers, canvas or sneakers.
- Pop socks or long socks.
- Mosquito repellent and mosquito net.
- Laboratory cloth.
- Black socks for shoes and white socks for canvas shoes and sneakers.
- Warm clothing, preferably in overall black or dark green colour.
- Complete set of cutlery, including plate and spoons.
Writing materials.
- Waist pouch.
- Bed sheet and pillowcase.
- Black trousers.
- Blue jean trousers.
Candidates should make adequate preparations and ensure that the required items are available before reporting for the physical screening.
NAQS Physical Screening Dress Code and Appearance
NAQS has also outlined personal appearance requirements for candidates attending the physical screening.
Male Candidates
Male candidates are required to report with a clean-shaven face.
Male and Female Candidates
Candidates should observe the following:
No hair attachments are allowed.
Long dangling earrings, bangles and anklets are prohibited.
Only pin earrings, wedding bands and wristwatches are allowed.
Long nails and brightly coloured nail polish are not allowed.
Only minimal makeup is permitted.
Candidates should follow these instructions carefully to avoid issues during the screening exercise.
Items Not Allowed During NAQS Physical Screening
The latest NAQS notice also states that candidates must not use headphones or ear buds during training drills or the exercise routine.
Electric boiling rings and other forms of heating appliances are also prohibited.
Applicants should therefore avoid bringing prohibited items to the screening venue.
