You can’t pour from an empty cup. It’s simple, yet powerful. You can’t give what you don’t have.

So many of us spend our lives pouring into others — our families, our jobs, our communities — until we are completely drained. We push ourselves to keep giving, even when our minds are tired, our bodies are weak, and our hearts are running on empty.

But let me remind you today: you deserve to be full too.
You deserve rest, peace, and renewal. You deserve moments to breathe, to pause, and to be human.

Because when you’re empty, frustration replaces patience.
When you’re drained, love feels like a burden.
When your cup is dry, even your best intentions can feel heavy.

Taking care of yourself is not a sign of weakness — it’s wisdom.
Recharge. Reconnect. Refill. Do what strengthens your spirit and feeds your soul. Whether it’s prayer, quiet time, laughter, or a walk in nature — find what fills your cup.

Remember, you can’t give your best when you’re running on empty.

Teaching by example means showing others the right way to live — not just by our words, but by our actions. It is often said that children learn more from what they see than what they hear.

As parents, teachers, and leaders, we must remember that the little eyes watching us are learning every single day. When we are honest, they learn honesty. When we show kindness, they learn to be kind. When we keep our promises, they learn trust.

It’s not enough to say “do the right thing.” We must live the right thing. A child who sees a parent praying will learn to pray. A child who sees a teacher being patient will learn patience.

Let our actions be the lessons our children remember. Let our lives be the examples they follow. Because the best way to teach is not by talking — it’s by doing.
