Dear Customer, Internet banking fraud occurs when the internet banking profile of a user is
compromised, and the linked account taken over by the fraudster. They call you pretending they want to assist you on an issue they
discovered or you complained about.
They ask you to provide your details to render this assistance. Under the guise that verification is required to identify and assist you,
they claim a code will be sent by them to you. They use the codes and the answers you provided to create a new profile
or take over your existing profile and STEAL YOUR MONEY.
How to prevent Internet Banking Fraud Keep your device safe always and avoid the use of push notifications on your phone as messages can be read on the screen of the phone without
opening your phone/device. Do not give your Personal information i.e., PIN, Passwords, OTP, etc. to a
third party Avoid calls from individuals who pretend to be from the bank and demand for your details to reset, upgrade, update, reactivate, refresh, or
recycle your account. Avoid phishing mails, unsecure sites, groups, and apps asking for your card details, PIN, OTPs, etc. sent to you to enjoy free cash or qualify for a
free trial.
Ensure to report unauthorized access to vour accounts immediatelv it is noticed.
Remember, no bank staff will call you to ask for your personal banking details.
