Sh*ts are happening in Nigeria!
Hi guys my is NWACHUKWU OLIVIA OLUOMACHI and here is a story of how I almost got scammed on 22 of September 2025 .
So I saw this job advertise claiming to need an administrative assistant and as a VA and EA I applied.
But before then I was supposed to go there by 5th of September but I didn’t see the invite on time so I sent them an email apologising for not showing up and explaining my availability for future opportunities but the craziest thing happened’ this people sent me an invite again for the same position so I ran to cyber cafes printed my cy and went through my job description so not to fail not just that I withdraw 10k because the place is in ogba Lagos state and I am going from Oshodi so I don’t know how far it is and I didn’t want to be stranded.
On getting there I noticed that there was a man blocking the entrance with outdated suit and I believe his job is to first test how voluble you are so you don’t spoil work for them and he immediately saw that I am not a foolable fool so he said I should get out but in my head I was wondering what kind of organisation would invite you for an interview only to turn you out on the gate for just looking like not a fool so I didn’t go I went by the corner and was answering call a man was about to drive in and my brain tails me he is the ceo so I stood there until he called me and asked what happened so after explaining he said I should be let in .
Second thing that happened was the
Positioned receptionist who told me to go back because I was looking around the in her words “if you are not sure you can go back “ I was like it’s my first time here Ofcouse I would be curious then she said sign in here .
Thirdly was how this people was speaking wrong English in a very proud manner like ? Talking to degrees holder like they are fools to be looking for jobs and them (the frauds) are better than everyone there. They are more than 20 all thieves and hiding under job advertising but in truth you are there to pay them start up of 5k and later sign agreement saying any business the bring to you ‘you must invest without questions which means interview has turn to business investment meeting . Like ?
Lastly we were taking one after the other to separate office and as I enter I was asked cash or transfer? For what madam? What did I buy?
Be careful out there!!!!!
Scammers are improving because not everyone left a lot of people didn’t leave
They paid and will still continue paying .
