Since this month is CS awareness month, make I talk my mind.
If you’ve gone through it and survived, you are a heroine (as my son would say). I’ve experienced both VBAC delivery and CS delivery, and honestly, all of them come with their own pain.
But CS takes a different kind of courage and determination—especially elective CS. Imagine knowing the exact date and time you’ll be wheeled into the theatre… even when your legs are perfectly fine to walk
One day at the clinic, a nurse was educating us about delivery options and mentioned CS. A woman sitting not too far from me quickly rejected it with “God forbid!”
I just felt like shouting—those who go through CS are human beings, not animals.
The way some people treat CS mothers, I can’t even explain it. They see them as lazy or not strong enough—meanwhile, they have no idea what it takes.
During my pregnancy, anytime people told me to exercise and be active, I would simply tell them my doctor and nurse advised me to rest well
Even though I’m naturally an active person, businesswoman no be small work o!
Na my parents and my husband dey always calm me down, reminding me say I get belle—make I take am easy.
So abeg, if you talk carelessly about CS around me, I fit just correct you small
Come and try the blade and instruments first!
