A day ago, VeryDarkMan posted a video showing how he escorted the police to arrest a man accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old girl in Abuja. The suspect has now been arrested.
In a recent interview, the victim shared her experience. She explained that she was living with her aunt but wanted to return to her village. Since she didn’t have enough money for transportation, she called her brother for help. Her brother, who works as a laborer in construction, asked her to come over.
One night, while she was sleeping in her brother’s room, a man entered holding a knife. He threatened her and forced her to comply. Out of fear, she could not resist.
After the incident, she reported what happened to someone nearby, who then helped her contact security personnel. They went to the suspect’s house, where she identified him and described the clothes he wore during the incident. Although he denied the accusation and initially resisted arrest, the clothes and knife were found as evidence.
He was not arrested that same day because he was uncooperative. However, with the help of VeryDarkMan, he was later arrested and will be charged in court. Hopefully, justice will be served.
The victim has since received support. She was awarded a scholarship by verydarkman from SS2 up to the university level, encouraged to stay strong, and given financial support for her transportation back to her village.
