Businesses You Can Start With ₦50,000

If you’re thinking of starting a business with ₦50,000 or less, you’re in the right place!
Here are some practical ideas you can try out. Sit tight — I’ll break them down one by one with simple details. Let’s go!

---

1. Zobo Business

Zobo is one of the easiest and most profitable small-scale businesses to start. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll need:

A paint bucket of zobo leaves: ₦3,000 (price may vary depending on your area)

Plastic bottles (30cl or 33cl): ₦10,000

Flavoring (vanilla, pineapple, 🍍 etc.): ₦2,000

Ginger, cloves, and pineapple: ₦3,000–₦5,000

Ice blocks or a freezer (if you don’t already have one)

> Note: Prices may vary based on your location.

---

Once prepared, you can sell each bottle for between ₦300 and ₦700, depending on your area and packaging.

Let’s do a quick calculation:
If your total production cost is about ₦25,000 (including gas, water, and ice), and you produce around 90 bottles, selling each at ₦500 gives you:

₦500 × 90 = ₦45,000

That’s almost double your cost!

You can sell from home, supply to shops, or sell at busy spots like bus stops. Once people know you for making tasty, high-quality zobo, your sales will grow fast.

BUS CONDUCTOR!!!

Standing at the bus stop at Ikeja Under Bridge, waiting to get on a bus going to my destination, but no bus was stopping to even carry passengers. The bus stop was full with people also waiting for buses too. I checked my wristwatch for the time — it was around 5:30 p.m.
Haa, my mind was doing me jigijigi.

“When will I get home today? This under bridge no safe for night.” I hugged my bag to my chest make ndi oma aka na akpa make Dem no help me keep my phone 😂 praying for a miracle. Checking the time again, it was 6:15 p.m. “God abeg oo, I never even see bus when I wan reach house today with all these traffic.” I was still thinking about the traffic naso I just hear “Iyana Oworo!” I didn’t even wait to hear the remaining bus stops wey the conductor dey call. Everybody dey drag to enter. I rushed and held the door; before I could put my leg, the conductor don dey shout, “E don full!” Only me con remain for the door. Before you know it, the bus don dey move. The conductor don jump enter bus, I follow conductor jump too. The two of us con hang for the door (entrance) of the bus 😂😂.

The Conductor: You dey follow me do work ni?
Me: No worry yourself, we dey do the work together 😂😂

The guy (conductor) with the passengers just dey laugh me.
Me? I no send them oo. I even dey laugh with them. At the end, the guy no later collect money from me oo.

As I dey like this, I dey tell people say I was once a bus conductor before 😂😂😂
