n this short video, see the check out the installation process of a Air condition18k mini split. This is the second mini split I've installed after putting in a 12k Air conditioner out in our warming house last winter which we've used to both cool and heat the building. This 18k was installed in a 500 sq foot room with 12 foot ceilings and has been keeping the 2nd floor room nice and cold the last couple weeks. Yes, the lines are pre-charged and their is extra coil leftover. This is how the company instructs it to be installed for the average DIY’er without special tools. If you have a vacuum and flare and additional HVAC knowledge, shorten the lines. I will of course keep you updated on my thoughts of both units as time goes on, but feel free to ask any questions about the install process or how it is working.
