OpenAI has tightened restrictions on ChatGPT, barring it from offering personal medical, legal, or financial advice.

The chatbot, once viewed as a go-to problem solver, is now classified as an โ€œeducational toolโ€ that explains general ideas instead of giving specific recommendations. According to NEXTA, the decision stems from regulatory pressure and fears of legal liability, as tech companies move to avoid being held responsible for harmful or misleading advice.

Under the new guidelines, ChatGPT can outline general concepts but will no longer provide medication names, dosages, legal document drafts, or investment suggestions. The goal is to prevent users from mistaking its responses for expert guidance. Many previously relied on it like a โ€œvirtual doctorโ€ or online therapist, often leading to unnecessary worry or emotional dependence. However, the AI cannot examine patients, detect distress, or replace professional judgment.

The same applies to legal and financial matters ChatGPT can define terms like a 401(k) or contract clause but cannot review personal cases or ensure legal accuracy. Privacy concerns also play a role, as sharing sensitive details such as health data or bank information with an AI system could expose users to risks.

This policy shift protects both users and OpenAI: users gain safety from misinformation, professionals retain control over specialized fields, and the company reduces its exposure to lawsuits. The update reinforces one key principle โ€” AI can educate, but human experts must advise.

Chad Closes Border With Nigeria Over Security Concerns, Cites U.S. Military invasion reports ............
The Government of Chad has announced the immediate closure of its border with Nigeria, citing security concerns following reports of alleged U.S. military plans in West Africa.

According to a report by Zagazola, the directive was issued by President Mahamat Idriss Dรฉby Itno, who ordered a complete military lockdown along the Nigerian border after intelligence suggested that terr+rist elements from northern Nigeria were preparing to flee into Chadian territory.

Military sources in Nโ€™Djamena confirmed that the Chadian army has been placed on full alert, with troops and armoured vehicles deployed across key border corridors linking the two countries.

President Dรฉby was quoted as saying that โ€œno armed group or foreign force will be allowed to enter Chadian soil under any disguise.โ€

The move comes amid heightened regional tension and growing speculation over Americaโ€™s alleged military activities in parts of West Africa.

Security analysts, said the closure was a preventive measure aimed at safeguarding Chadian sovereignty and preventing possible infiltration by armed groups exploiting regional instability.

Tinubu's US Trip Aborted, To Attend G-20 Meeting In South Africa, Discuss With Trump......

Nigerian president, Bola Tinubu's reported trip to the United States to resolve the diplomatic frictions between his government and the Donald Trump's administration will not go ahead as planned.

Top sources informed this newspaper that discussions between the Tinubu's presidency and the White House were already ongoing "but a face-to-face meeting is not yet on the cards."

The presidency source noted that the upcoming G-20 Summit in South Africa is being considered for Tinubu's attendance and as the viable opportunity for the Nigerian president to have talks with President Trump.

The source said, "The meeting between President Bola Tinubu and Donald Trump is not going as reported. No plans are in place to go to Washington DC; conversations between the US and Nigeria are ongoing but a face-to-face meeting is not yet on the cards.

"Rather there is an invitation on the cards for Tinubu to attend the G-20 summit on November 20 in Durban, South Africa where a likely meeting between Tinubu and Trump is a possibility."

Islamic Cleric Sheikh Gumi Tells Tinubu To Protect The Sovereignty Of Nigeria, Says Trumps Has No Power In Nigeria..........

Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has called on President Bola Tinubu to take firm diplomatic action against former U.S. President Donald Trump over his recent thr+at of military action against Nigeria.

In a post shared on his verified page on Sunday, Gumi described the comment attributed to Trump as a direct affront to Nigeriaโ€™s sovereignty. He urged the government to respond swiftly and decisively.

โ€œFor Trump to threaten a sovereign country with military att+ck is a profound disrespect to our authority, but we can rise above it,โ€ Gumi wrote.

He advised the Federal Government to summon the U.S. ambassador to Nigeria and demand an official retraction. According to him, failure to receive one should prompt Nigeria to consider cutting diplomatic ties.

โ€œPresident Tinubu should summon the US ambassador; they either retract their thr+ats or we sever diplomatic ties with this irresponsible regime,โ€ he added.

Gumi also stressed that Nigeria has alternative economic and military partnerships available, saying the country should not feel dependent on any single foreign power for its development and security.
