Eight suspected kidnappers have been arrested and are currently in DSS custody following the successful rescue of the abducted Oyo students.

Authorities say several other suspects were killed during the rescue operation. They also confirmed that no ransom was paid and no prisoner exchange took place, adding that the alleged kingpin whose release was demanded by the kidnappers is still facing trial.
