So, I was taking a walk yesterday evening when I passed a group of men having a discussion.

At first, I wasn't paying attention until I heard one of them say, "I took a lady to (name withheld) and spent almost ₦38,000. After all that, she was still asking me how much I'd give her for the night." 😳

I couldn't help but glance over, and I know, he's someone's husband.

It got me thinking...

Sometimes, people are willing to spend generously trying to impress strangers but struggle to show the same appreciation to the people who love and stand by them every day.

Men, the lady you're trying so hard to impress today won't always retain the new excitement. The woman you call your wife was once that beautiful young lady too. Appreciate her, love her, and don't wait until it's too late to make her feel valued.

And ladies, not everything that glitters is gold. Be wise and know your worth. Not every flashy outing or expensive date comes with good intentions.

So, I ordered a few items for my baby girl, and this shoe happened to be one of them.

I intentionally chose a size slightly bigger than her feet so she could wear it for a while. Surprisingly, this particular pair came much bigger than expected. The funny part is that the other pair I bought is a size 25 and fits her just fine, while this one is a size 24 but looks more like a size 30! 😂

Before some of you say, "You didn't read the description," I actually did. The seller clearly stated that this style runs big, which was why I even reduced the size. Yet, it still arrived way bigger than her tiny feet.

Now I'm torn. Should I keep it until she grows into it? On second thought, she might be about three years old before it fits her, and her feet are really small. 😅

So, biko, I've decided to sell it for exactly what I bought it for. It's a beautiful, quality shoe, as you can see.

So, I wanted to make eba for dinner, but I realized I'd run out of garri. I quickly went to my usual customer to buy some, then headed to another shop to buy corn to soak for pap.

When I got there, I noticed the man selling the corn also sold garri. Out of curiosity, I asked for the price, and to my surprise, it was much cheaper than what my customer was selling. The funny part was that I had already transferred the money to my customer before getting there.

When I got back, I mentioned to my customer that the price of garri seemed to have dropped and suggested she should adjust her price. She insisted it wasn't true and said she bought hers at a higher price. I simply collected my goods and walked away.

It got me thinking... sometimes it's good to buy from different sellers once in a while. That's how you know whether prices have actually gone down or if you're just used to paying more.
