I WILL BRING BACK FUEL SUBSIDY AND OPEN BORDERS

When Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said he would bring back fuel subsidy, it quickly gained traction and gave Alhaji Atiku the much needed attention he has been looking for in a long time. But if you read in between the lines, you might notice something. At first, he said he will bring back fuel subsidy about a week ago. To me, it’s something; because that was the first time he was making any electoral promise or manifesto. All the while, all he has been looking for is either President Tinubu’s school certificate, buried drug related cases or anything just to bring President Tinubu down rather and campaign for himself. So, that seem to me like he is getting serious now. Even though I know he is just bluffing and he can’t fund fuel subsidy, what he said this week make me read in between the lines

One thing is to bring back fuel subsidy, if he is able to do that, we will all enjoy it; but another thing is to open the borders. Doesn’t he know we’ve been down that road before? It’s like giving someone food and immediately giving the person laxative. That’s wickedness!

If he brings back fuel subsidy and fuel becomes like N400 per liter as his party chieftains are saying, that’s good for all of us; but if he opens the border simultaneously, there is no gain for us. That means fuel marketers will buy fuel for N350 here and go sell it as N1,500 in Niger and Chad; because no matter how much we take fuel from Nigeria to all those those countries, we will still be doing them a favor because it will still be cheaper. Fuel is currently about N1,800 to N2,000 there as at now, so a N1,500 per liter fuel from Nigeria is still a blessing to them and that is when we Nigerian lose because the fuel will never be available to us to buy at that N400. In fact, the fuel will go to Niger and come back to us as imported fuel and we will be the ones buying at N2,000 because it will never be available here. Imagine yourself as a marketer, you bought fuel for about N350 per liter and sell it here for N400 or take to Niger and Chad and sell for N1,500, where would you prefer to sell. Even though selling there is illegal but we all know our border

So, what is Alhaji Atiku trying to achieve? Serve and alleviate Nigerian poverty or implement another Fulani agenda?

I remember vividly in 2023 when President Tinubu announced that fuel subsidy is gone, immediately things changed here. Surprisingly, things got worst in Niger and Chad. There were videos of people from Niger and Chad cursing President Tinubu on TV and accusing him of causing their hardship. But why? What has hardship in Nigeria got to do with that of Niger and Chad? How did President Tinubu cause them hardship? That is because they were benefiting from our fuel subsidy even more than us. Nigeria was not subsidizing Nigeria alone, we were subsidizing almost the whole of west Africa. At some point, our fuel got to as far as Ivory Coast and Kenya while we queue for fuel here. What is our benefit? Who is Father Christmas? This is one reason I support fuel subsidy removal and This is one reason President Buhari will never remove subsidy; because it will hurt the economy of his home country Niger; and this is why Alhaji Atiku does not just want to bring back fuel subsidy but also wants to open border, so that Nigeria will begin to cater for the Niger and Chad again. IS THAT WHAT WE WANT? Remember president Buhari send $1b to Niger while he was in power without approval. We all shouted but nothing happened. So these Fulani based counties are under more economic crunch than we are and we have always been their life support.

So, is Alhaji Atiku bringing back fuel subsidy for us or for his cousins and relatives in Niger and Chad and Cameroon? If he must bring back fuel subsidy, must he open the borders at the same time?

Let’s ask people, is there democracy in Nigeria now as regards Osun state election? Because when things don’t go people’s way, they quickly say there is no democracy in Nigeria

PRESIDENT TINUBU - AS YOU CREATED NELFUND, CREATE SOCIAL FUND TOO

As an unrepentant follow of president Bola TInubu, I cannot but wish his well by sweeping and shutting his political opponent up with success and unbeatable performance.

What president Bola Tinubu has done to this country in terms of reforms is unprecedented and cannot be seen by many, especially his haters; but the smart ones with hindsight can see what the future looks like when these reforms begin to yield

We have defended these reforms severally and tried to explain on various platforms to those who do not understand the reforms and cannot see the policy direction; but one common thing they keep shouting is hunger! Even though there has been hunger before President Tinubu came to power; but we must all admit that the required and necessary policies taken (which should have been taken many years ago) brought us some degree of hardship (which is temporary).

It got dawn on me that no matter how we swim in milk and honey and in abundance, some people will still be poor and hungry. If there can be poor people in United state of America, whom are citizens of the country, it goes to tell you that some people are naturally born to be poor. I hate to say it this way but that’s the way it is. Perhaps, let’s just say that’s the way God created us.

When I wrote a piece of how Nigeria’s Stock Market is the best performing in the whole world and advise Nigerians to take advantage of it as many foreigners are, it surprises me how many people still ask me of basic questions I do not expect people to be asking in 2026. That was when I realized that poverty don’t just happen, it is usually created by people through their choices. I couldn’t believe someone of over 40 years old that doesn’t know what stock market is, not to talk of investing in it; and he is educated! What kind of education did he get? He isn’t the only one, there are plenty who sees stock as something out of reach of the ordinary people. That’s is when I realize the source of poverty is not just financial but lack of quality. Call it lack quality education, lack of quality thinking, lack of quality citizenship or whatever; but it is obvious that with all these lack of qualities, poverty isn’t leaving the country anytime soon, no matter the policies.

Yes! The country will be doing better, but the citizens won’t. Just as we are having now. The economy is doing well, the figures are showing positives but what are we having amongst the people?… they are saying they don’t see anything! They are saying it doesn’t translate to money in their pockets; and that is true. How do you expect these ordinary people to convert those potentials into personal gains? They can’t! They are not wired like that.

You can throw blames all you like but that is not the purpose of this article. The purpose of this article is to tell the government under the leadership of my amiable President Bola Tinubu that we need to meet the people at the point of their need

Former President Buhari called them lazy, I have discovered we lack quality. In all, something is missing; and it is the duty of the government to make life better for the people.

Many people cannot convert talent to wealth. Many cannot convert surplus to wealth. Many are not entrepreneurs: give them a million naira today and they will be begging again by next month. They simply cannot generate wealth

Our country have in abundance people with civil servant mentality. Salary mentality. Work for someone and get paid. They are not good at taking risks. Yes I have thrown blames and called them names; but they are still our citizens and we have a duty to cater for them

So I will conclude by saying; Mr. President sir, the way you created NELFUND that is making life beautiful for students, please create SOCIAL-FUNDS also to make like better for ordinary Nigerians. Let that benefit from the good economy reflect into their pockets.

We don’t want palliatives. It doesn’t get to us. Don’t give anything to governors, it won’t get to us. Use NELFUND pattern. Let us be able to apply via an App as many of us use OPay. Let people be able to borrow from 50k to 500k and be able to pay back between 6 months to 12 months with very low interest like 5%; let them also be able to borrow more (top-up) while still paying the previous or current loan because majority of people will spend the money on feeding. This will alleviate the hunger. For those smart ones that will borrow and never pay back, let that be the end of their road. Do not deny others because of them

This is the way anything you are doing up there can translate to the pocket of the people. That is the way you can immediately keep the hunger noise down.

I have heard many people saying … Nigeria’s economy is doing well but they are not seeing anything.

Anyone saying this only show that they are illiterates even though some are educated

The biggest thing going well for Nigeria right now is stock exchange. Nigeria stock exchange is the best preforming stock in the world right now.

People all over the world are bringing in money to invest in it and are making huge profits and making away with it.. and here are Nigerians still talking about that they are not seeing anything!

Wait there! Tinubu will come and put money in your pocket. Don’t go to where the money is.

Tinubu has repaired the economy. It is doing well. It’s up to every Nigerian to position themselves for the benefits.

“People were healthier 40 years ago. Not because of hospitals… but because of these 5 habits we dropped.”

On-screen text*: 5 habits we dropped that made us sick

1. Morning Exercise or just walking
Years ago, people walked 5 to 10 kilometers on an average per day just going about their daily business. They walked from home to nearest bus stop and sometimes walk to their destination doing their business. Today, people pick a bike or taxi right from in front of their house to where ever they are going. We even order Uber rides these days while we are still in the house and will not step a foot outside until the Uber arrives at our doorstep. We almost don’t walk at all.
Practicing this old habit made us lose 300 to 500 calories per day. But today, with poor low-intensity movement, we gain weights. That’s a big reason why obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease are up. Daily walking regulates blood sugar better than 1 hour at the gym.

2. Eating organic and unprocessed food
Back then diets were based on what was grow locally and cooked at home. Our foods were mainly from farms; transported and sold to us in the market just few days after it was harvested. But today, we don’t even know where our foods come from. They are mainly from factories far away because they are either semi-process or completely processed foods. We no longer drink milk from the farm, we drink milk from the factory, processed with all sort of additives and preservatives. We no longer eat tomatoes, we eat G.M.O
Eating less ultra-processed food equals lower inflammation, better gut health, fewer metabolic disorders. Now we eat more additives, seed oils, and sugar.

3. Manual labor and or house chores. Back in the days, men do menial work like working in the farm and doing many heavy lifting, while the women wash clothes by hand, fetching water, sweeping at home doing house chores. These was a good form of daily work or home exercise. While we practiced these habits, we had constant functional strength and movement. We replaced it today with sitting 8 to 12 hours per day in office or traffic, which increases back pain, poor posture, and early mortality risk.

4. Face-to-face socializing as default
Back then we meet regularly and village square, meeting, parties and functions. We trashed all differences physically and pour our hearts out. No phones, so people talked, gossiped, solved problems in person.
That brought us stronger social bonds reduce stress and loneliness, which are major risk factors for heart disease and depression.

5. Drinking water, not sugary drinks. Back then Soda was rare and expensive. Water was more available so we drank water frequently. Today, soft drinks are sometimes cheaper and available than water in some cases, we drink sugary drinks to replace water. Whereas, with water, we had lower sugar intake, which meant less fatty liver, less tooth decay, and insulin resistance. An average person now drinks two times or 3 times more sugar than WHO recommends. Which leads to obesity and diabetes. If you’ve enjoyed this video, please leave a like, share and subscribe for me.
