Tomorrow, on the centre court at the Magic Hotel Tours in Monastir, Tunisia, Nigeria’s Seun Ogunsakin will take on Amine Jamji, a Wild Card player from Morocco, in a R1 encounter at the M15 Monastir event.

Ogunsakin is in the Main Draw as a result of his world junior ranking which also saw him participate in his inaugural Junior Championships qualifying.

The 17-year-old is currently ranked 65 while his opponent is ATP 1306. A win for the Nigerian teenager will see him secure his first ever ATP point while still playing in the juniors.

Success Ogunjobi walking into the new week after winning her FOURTH Junior ITF Title during the just concluded week one of the J30 Abuja event.

She defeated Khadijat Mohammed in an interesting three-set thriller which ended 6-7, 6-3, 6-1 on Sunday.

The Aurum Academy player is up for another week of tennis action as the week two of the J30 Abuja event serves off today.

The Bella Disu Open ended last week but not many remember the prizes awarded to the winners, runner ups and even semifinalists. So, here we go!

Winner (male and female): N1.9m to cover six-month scholarship for equipment maintenance, kits, physio access, international tournaments entry.

Runner up (male and female): N1m to cover six-month scholarship for equipment maintenance, kits, physio access, international tournaments entry.

Semifinalists (male and female) N660k to cover six-month scholarship for equipment maintenance, kits, physio access.

Those who called the tournament the of junior tennis may not have been wrong 🙌🏽🙌🏽⚡️⚡️

After his exploits at the Junior Championships in Paris, France, Nigeria’s teenage sensation, Seun Ogunsakin has shifted his attention to senior tennis action as he prepares for the Juniors.

The player will be in the Main Draw of the M15 Monastir in Tunisia next week, and will be seeking his first ATP points when he takes to the court.

Slowly but surely, Ogunsakin is rising to the top of global tennis 💪🏽💪🏽🫡

The Bella Disu Open ended on Saturday, 30 May, 2026, with some indescribable end-to-end action by players who are barely 13.

More than anything else is the joy of seeing the emergence of another generation of Igbinovia in the Nigerian junior tennis circuit at the early stage.

A very big shout out to Mrs. for embracing tennis and for bringing this gargantuan tournament our way. We hope to see more of this through the 🙏🏽💪🏽🫡

Seun really fought in that qualifying match and it was just a game of fine margins between two outstanding players.

This point was when he broke his opponent in the second set in what set the tone for the tension-soaked match and to that qualifying match for the Nigerian at the Junior Championships.

He’ll surely be back on the BIGGER stage, and at that time, he’ll be unstoppable 💪🏽🫡
