Today, we unite with organizations and individuals worldwide to demand an end to FGM. Over 200 million women worldwide, have undergone FGM which is a huge form of violence against girls and women.

FGM just like other forms of violence are not just women’s issues – they’re human rights issues. We must work together to create a world where all girls and women can live with dignity and respect.

A 29-year-old woman in Kozhikode, Kerala, jumped from the first floor of a hotel to escape a r**e attempt by her employer and two staff members, including a security guard.
The shocking incident came to light after her relatives released a video showing her resisting the assault-crying for help and pleading to be left alone.
The survivor, who worked at the hotel, unknowingly recorded the attack while playing a game on her phone, which had the camera turned on. This footage is now crucial evidence in the case.
She suffered spinal and other injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Govt Medical College.
Meanwhile, all three accused are on the run, and police have registered a case against them.
