Here's a little exercise for you.

Imagine someone gives you ₦1,000 today.

What would you do with it?

Spend it?

Save it?

Invest it?

Use it to learn something?

Use it to create something?

Your answer may reveal more about your financial thinking than you realize.

Because money isn't only about how much you have.

It's also about the decisions you make with what you have.

And that's why developing your financial mindset matters.

📘 Money Is Looking For You is available now.

One of the most dangerous things you can do is become comfortable with a life you secretly want to change.

Oluwakemi knew she wanted more.

More knowledge.

More financial stability.

More impact.

More options for her future.

But for years, she kept telling herself, “At least things aren't that bad.”

Then one evening, she realized something uncomfortable:

She wasn't happy with her situation.

She had simply become familiar with it.

That realization pushed her to start making small changes.

She began learning.

She became intentional with her money.

She started meeting people who challenged her thinking.

She stopped making excuses for the areas of her life that needed attention.

It wasn't an overnight transformation.

But slowly, her life began to move in a different direction.

Sometimes, the first sign that you're ready for your next level is that your current level no longer feels comfortable.

Don't ignore that feeling.

Let it push you to learn, build, and become.

Your dissatisfaction may be pointing you toward the life you're capable of creating.

❤️ What is one area of your life you know needs to change?

Be honest with yourself—and if you're comfortable, share it in the comments.

The people who will celebrate your success tomorrow may not understand your sacrifice today.

When Yetunde decided to take her growth seriously, some people around her thought she was doing too much.

She was reading when others were relaxing.

Taking courses after work.

Saving money instead of spending everything she earned.

Turning down certain distractions because she had bigger goals.

Someone even told her, “You need to enjoy your life. You're taking this thing too seriously.”

Yetunde smiled.

She wasn't trying to prove anything.

She simply understood that the life she wanted would require a version of her she hadn't become yet.

So she kept building.

Quietly.

Consistently.

Eventually, the results started speaking.

That's the thing about growth.

At first, people may question why you're changing.

Later, they'll ask how you did it.

Don't let people who are comfortable with your current level make you feel guilty for wanting more.

Build the capacity.

Learn the skills.

Make the sacrifices.

Your future self will thank you.

❤️ What is one thing you're currently sacrificing today because you believe your future is worth it?

📌 Note to self.

You might think you have nothing to offer.

But pause for a moment.

What do people constantly ask you for help with?

What can you do effortlessly that someone else struggles to do?

What have you learned through years of experience?

What knowledge do you have that could solve someone else's problem?

That's where I want you to start looking.

Your experience may have value.

Your knowledge may have value.

Your skills may have value.

Your ideas may have value.

You may not be starting from zero after all.

You may simply need to recognize what you already have.

📘 That's one of the ideas explored in Money Is Looking For You.

Sometimes, the problem isn't that you don't have opportunities. It's that you keep waiting for opportunities to look perfect.

Nneka had been waiting for the "big break" for years.

She wanted a better job, but didn't apply for smaller roles.

She wanted to start a business, but kept waiting for enough capital.

She wanted to learn a skill, but kept waiting for the perfect laptop.

Then one day, she decided to stop waiting for perfect conditions.

She started with what she had.

A small course.

A basic phone.

A little money.

A few hours each evening.

It wasn't impressive at first.

But it was movement.

And movement created momentum.

Sometimes, your next level won't arrive looking like the opportunity you imagined.

It may come disguised as a small beginning.

Don't despise small beginnings. Build from where you are, with what you have, and keep moving.

One day, you'll look back and realize that the "small" step was actually the beginning of everything.

❤️ What is one thing you can start with what you already have?

Sometimes, becoming successful isn't just about changing your life. It's about changing what your family story looks like.

When Ifeoma started working, her biggest dream wasn't a fancy car or an expensive apartment.

She wanted something her parents had never experienced.

Options.

She wanted her younger siblings to have access to opportunities she didn't have.

So she started learning.

She saved.

She built her career.

She made mistakes and started again.

It took years, but eventually, things began to change.

Her younger sister could study without worrying about school fees.

Her mother could finally rest a little.

And Ifeoma realized something:

She wasn't just building a career. She was building leverage for the people coming after her.

Sometimes, your assignment is bigger than you.

You may be the person your family needs to break a cycle.

The one who learns.

The one who builds.

The one who creates a new standard.

Don't despise your humble beginnings.

You could be building the foundation your children and siblings will one day stand on.

❤️ If you're intentionally trying to change your family's story, drop a ❤️ in the comments.

Imagine opening your phone one morning and seeing an unexpected message:

"I've finally created an additional income stream."

Not because you got lucky.

Not because someone handed you money.

But because you finally learned to recognize and act on an opportunity.

That's what happened with Gabriel after he read the chapter on Money Mines in Money Is Looking For You.

He saw an idea.

He acted.

And now he's seeing results.

His story reminds me of something important:

Books don't create results. Readers who take action do.

So don't just buy the book.

Read it.

Question it.

Apply it.

And look around you.

There may be a "money mine" closer than you think.
