COLOUR RULES MOST DESIGNERS IGNORE BUT INCREASES YOUR REACH
Most designers are killing your business reach without knowing it.
It’s not your content. It’s your COLORS.
You can’t just pick any color and call it a design.
Each color belongs to a category. Use the wrong combo and nobody reads your flyer.
Yellow text on a green background? Invisible.
Gray text on a black background? Invisible.
That’s why nobody is calling you.
Here are 3 color rules 90% of designers ignore - but will 3x your flyer views:
1. CONTRAST BEATS CREATIVITY
Customers spend 3 seconds looking at your flyer.
If they can’t read it in 3 seconds, they scroll.
Rule: Dark text on light background. Light text on dark background. Always.
2. LIMIT BEATS VARIETY
7 colors = confusion. 3 colors = clarity.
Confusion = they scroll past. Clarity = they stop.
Rule: Max 3 colors. One for headline, one for body text, one for accent.
3. PURPOSE BEATS PREFERENCE
You picked pink because “it’s your favorite color”.
But does pink make people trust you? Does pink make them call you?
Rule: Every color must have a job. Headline = grab attention. Body = be readable. Accent = drive action.
Think of big brands - Apple, Nike, Mercedes.
They don’t use 10 colors. They use 2-3 colors max.
That’s why they look premium and expensive.
Bad colors = low reach.
Good colors = more saves, more shares, more calls.
Stop making your flyer look like a rainbow.
Make it look like a business.
Save this before you design your next flyer.
