This morning, the world mourns the loss of a spiritual giant. His Holiness Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, passed away peacefully in Rome at 7:35 AM on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88.
As the first Latin American and Jesuit pope, Pope Francis led the Catholic Church with humility, compassion, and a deep commitment to social justice. From his election in 2013, he championed the causes of the poor, the marginalized, and the environment—bringing a voice of mercy and reform to the heart of the Vatican.
Despite his recent health challenges, he remained a symbol of hope and unity until the end. His Easter appearance, though brief, was a testament to his unwavering dedication to the faith and the people he served.
Pope Francis’s legacy will forever be remembered for his efforts to modernize the Church, promote peace, and remind the world of the power of love and service.
May his soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord.
