"The time has come for us not only to pray but to rise up. You know that sword that we put aside? Jesus didn't say we should throw it away. He said, 'Put your sword aside,' because when Satan comes spiritually, confront him spiritually. But when he stupidly comes physically, show him that even physically you are not weak.
The error of saying 'do nothing, do nothing' is over. Didn't you read your Bible? The Bible never said we should not use force; it says, 'The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord.' It didn't say we should not have horses. It didn't say we should not have chariots. It just said we shouldn't put our trust there—but we should have them!
Listen, do anything you can to defend yourself. Self-defense is not a crime. Don't let any vagabond come and kill you when you have a purpose to fulfill. In a country like this where government has failed, they don't even have a conscience. They don't have human sympathy, and they are not ashamed. They fail, and yet they are still talking.
How can a government be running all this campaign for a second term? Why don't they even have the sense to know that effective governance is the biggest campaign for continuity? When you are in power, you shouldn't still be fighting for power. No! When you are in power, prove that you qualify to be there. Your records, your impact, and your results should make the people say, 'Continue.' Instead, they kill people and think it's all about speeches—and they can't even make those speeches well. Don't let anybody kill you. Self-defense is not a crime!
If you need to fight in the spirit, fight. If you need to fight in the natural, fight. All of them require spiritual empowerment. Didn't you read the Old Testament? How did they fight? David consulted the Urim and the Thummim, and God said, 'When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, move quickly, for the Lord has gone out before you.'
So, there is one part for prayer, there is another part for wisdom, there is another part for governmental connection, there is another part for economic power, and there is another part for military might. That is how a human generation will rise. You are watching in prayer, but you have your weapon by your side. Don't carry only an oil bottle or an armband; those are important and prophetic, but in addition to them, be well-armed.
