TOPIC: THE SECRET OF DANIEL’S LIFTING

SCRIPTURE: Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Daniel 6:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Integrity does not demote a person; rather, it promotes a person.
Upright character has a lifting power. Integrity and uprightness of character facilitate lifting and promotion in life.
Daniel was a figure in Scripture who was lifted by the power of integrity.

Daniel 6:1-2 says:
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
It is important to note that Daniel was in charge of the King’s affairs and there was no damage.
The New International Version puts verse 2 this way:
‘…so the king will suffer no loss.’
The King seemed to have told his assistants:
Let us look for someone who will look after the money so that nothing would miss from the treasury.
And the only person they could find to take charge of the principal affairs of the empire, including the treasury, was Daniel. Daniel was put in charge and nothing got missing or damaged.
As a result of Daniel’s financial integrity, the king set him over the whole realm.
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
Daniel 6:3-4
This was the secret of Daniel’s lifting.

Beloved, integrity does not demote a person; rather, it promotes a person. Uprightness does not decrease a person; rather, it increases a person. Integrity is the twin of prosperity; holiness is the twin of wealth. All the people who were lifted and empowered financially by God were people that had uprightness of character.

REMEMBER THIS: Integrity does not demote a person; rather, it promotes a person.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to climb to the top through the ladder of uprightness.
2. Maintain the discipline of upright living to remain at the top.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to live right. Help me to imbibe the discipline of holy and upright living, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: PUTTING ALL YOUR HOPE IN GOD

SCRIPTURE: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Having faith in God implies absolutely putting all your hope and confidence in God, expecting Him to do what He says.

Faith is a journey of trust, absolute trust in God by man. Having faith in God implies absolutely putting all your hope and confidence in God, expecting Him to do what He says. When you shift your focus from God to a man or a system, it is no longer faith.

Many years ago, we held a programme at the National Stadium, Abuja, Nigeria. Veteran worship leader, Ron Kenoly and other great ministers of the gospel were in attendance. We spent millions of Naira on the programme. Aside from other expenses, the bill for hiring the stadium alone was 2.5 Million Naira. In addition to that, it was mandatory to pay a caution fee of 2.5 million Naira refundable after the programme if there was no facility damage.
Before the programme, one of the commercial banks came to us and said that they wanted to partner with us concerning the program because they knew that the bill for the program was very high.

I asked them, “What do you mean by partnering with us?”
And they said, “We would give the church some money for the programme so we can be recognised as sponsor of the program. Our bank would advertise the program on billboards at the stadium throughout the period of the program. On the screen, we would be scrolling our own advert: ‘Bank with us’, etc. from night till morning.”

So, I said, “Who would take the glory for the program, God or the bank? No way!”
Then I decided that even if the bank would bring all the money, we didn’t need it. I decided that they should go with their money and their advertisement. Only Jesus would be advertised on the screen for the program.

Beloved, the program was successfully and effortlessly held because we saw what others could not see; did what others could not do; experienced the impossible, and only God was glorified.
The truth is, if you put your hope absolutely in God, you can never be disappointed in life.

REMEMBER THIS: Having faith in God implies absolutely putting all your hope and confidence in God, expecting Him to do what He says.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Put your hope completely in God.
2. Refuse to put your hope and trust in a man or system for the work of God. Put your hope and trust only on God to do His Work in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from any tendency to put my hope in a man or a system. Help me to trust You absolutely, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: WHAT IS FAITH?

SCRIPTURE: So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. Genesis 12:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith is accepting scriptural responsibilities in order to see Divine possibilities.

It has been confirmed that the understanding and deployment of faith is critical to living a successful and victorious life.

Now, what is faith?

Faith, for the sake of our studies today, defined as the acceptance of scriptural responsibilities in order to see Divine possibilities.
This implies that faith is doing what you need to do in order to confirm that you believe God so He (God) would be committed to doing His part.

So, a man or woman who walks in faith is the man or woman of great discoveries in the Word.
When God told Abraham to get out of his father’s house, he believed Him and went out (Genesis 12:1-4); and God took him to the Promised Land. So, when you walk in faith, you are doing what God has asked you to do in order to prove to Him that you believe in Him, and that will make Him committed to doing what He said He would do.

It is important to note that until man plays his role, God is never obliged to play His role. In the journey of faith, there is something man must do in order for God to do what He is meant to do. If it is faith, it is a two-way process; there is something you ought to do and there is something God is expected to do. Until you know what to do and do it, faith is not yet in place.

For example, if you want to be healed, find out what God expects you to do before He can supply Divine health. If you want financial supplies, find out what God expects from you before He brings you financial supplies. If you want marital harmony, find out what God expects from you to ensure there is no crisis in your home. If you want the anointing of the Holy Spirit, find out the things you must do for the anointing to rest in you. Identify your scriptural responsibilities and carry them out, and you will see Divine possibilities.

REMEMBER THIS: Faith is accepting scriptural responsibilities in order to see Divine possibilities.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Be on the Lookout for Scriptural responsibilities as you study God’s Word.
2. Make up your mind to take the outlined responsibilities from God’s Word.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You open my eyes to see Scriptural responsibilities from Your Word. I receive the grace to take responsibilities to see possibilities in my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: FAITH DISSOLVES MYSTERIES

SCRIPTURE: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you want to escape miseries in life, you must understand the mystery of faith.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that without faith, it is impossible to please God. This means, it takes faith to please God.

However, the subject of faith is a great spiritual mystery that must be demystified if we must please God. Faith as a subject looks complicated to many people, and so it must be de-complicated.

You see, ordinary men find it difficult to understand faith. Even many children of God who have been in church for many years also find it difficult to understand the meaning of faith and how to work it out. This is one major reason why many people are stranded in life. They wish they had the faith that could change their lives or deliver them from the terrible conditions that they have found themselves in.

Now, one reason why it is very necessary to understand the mystery of faith is that it takes the mystery of faith to handle the miseries of life.
Life remains miserable until the mystery of faith is understood. If you want to escape miseries in life, you must understand the mystery of faith.

Sometime ago, a sister in our church testified to how God delivered her from cobweb attacks. She was always seeing herself walking into cobwebs. Consequently, her life was physically stagnated. She did not know that mystery until she saw a live pregnant spider coming out of her body in one of our services by virtue of God’s auspicious Presence. From that day onward, that mystery was dissolved and she began to experience progress in life.

Today, I decree that every mystery of your life is dissolved in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: If you want to escape miseries in life, you must understand the mystery of faith.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Ask God to show you the mystery of faith from His Word.

2. Make up your mind to walk by faith to dissolve every mystery around your life and destiny.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You open my eyes to understand the mystery of faith so I can escape the miseries of life. I ask for the dissolution of every mystery around my life and destiny by the instrumentality of faith, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
