The Speaker,
Benue State House of Assembly

Dear Your Excellency and Honorable Members of the House,
RE: PLEA FOR URGENT ACTION TO END THE KILLINGS IN BENUE STATE
With deep pain and concern, I write as a citizen and well-wisher of Benue State to express the growing fear, sorrow, and frustration that many of us feel over the continuous killings happening across our communities.
Benue State, known for its peaceful and agrarian people, has become a region marked by bloodshed and tears. Families are being wiped out, livelihoods destroyed, and communities forced to flee their ancestral homes due to these relentless attacks. The situation has gone on for far too long, and the people are losing hope.
Your Excellency and Honorable Members, we plead with you from the depths of our hearts: please take urgent and decisive action to stop the killings. Strengthen security across the affected areas, support the displaced people, and ensure that justice is served on the perpetrators. We also urge the House of Assembly to pass strong resolutions and policies that can address the root causes of these crises and prevent further violence.
Benue is bleeding. Our people are dying. This is not the future we want. We implore you as our leaders and protectors to rise to the occasion and act with the urgency this tragedy demands.
May God grant you the wisdom and strength to bring peace and safety back to our land.
Yours sincerely,
Torhile Aondolumun Josiah
