The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has commenced the construction of the Abinsi-Agasha-Tyulen road, leading to the former Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom's Village. This initiative fulfills the Governor's campaign promise of good governance and bringing democracy to the people of the state.

"This road construction project is a testament to our commitment to improving the lives of the people of Benue State," said Governor Alia. "By connecting the Abinsi-Agasha-Tyulen area, we are not only improving infrastructure but also fostering a sense of unity and accessibility within our community."

The Governor extends his sincere gratitude to the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Sen. Bola Tinubu, for his unwavering support and love for the Benue people, as well as his cooperation with the Benue State Government.

"We are grateful for the President's unwavering support and his commitment to the development of Benue State," said Governor Alia. "This project is a testament to the strong partnership between the state and the federal government, and we look forward to continued collaboration to bring more progress and prosperity to our people."

The construction of the Abinsi-Agasha-Tyulen road is part of the Benue State Government's broader infrastructure development plan, aimed at enhancing connectivity, improving access to essential services, and fostering economic growth in the state.

ALIA DECLINES KNOWLEDGE OF APC SEC MEETING IN THE STATE, WARNS OF CONSEQUENCES.

Thursday, August 15th, 2024.

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has denied knowledge of the All Progressives Congress, APC State Executive Committee Meeting allegedly announced by the former state chairman of the party, Mr. Austin Agada.

Recall that there were publications on the cyberspace to the effect that a meeting of the State Executive Committee of the Benue APC is summoned to hold today, Thursday, August 15th, 2024.

The Governor has therefore called off the purported meeting, warning that there will be consequences if any person or group attempts to disrupt the peace of the state by converging for any unauthorised meeting.

He said, "the last time I checked, I am still the APC leader in the state. No APC meeting can be summoned without my knowledge.

"Not just that, as the Chief Security Officer in the state, I should know when a legitimate gathering is supposed to hold.

"Nigeria is not a lawless state and so is Benue state".

"Those who think they can undermine the authority of the state must know this and know peace."
