Enough is Enough: End Police Brutality in Benue State Before We Rise To The Challenge

In the early hours of today, officers of the Nigeria Police Force Benue State Police Command, Makurdi E Division tragically shot and k an innocent young girl. The incident occurred at Wurukum Roundabout, where a bullet fired by the police pierced through the vehicle she was in.

We are not asking for much, only justice. The officers responsible must be identified and handed over to the state command for immediate and transparent investigation.

Lives must not continue to be lost at the hands of those sworn to protect us. This must end now.

“What happened to VDM at the bank was truly sad! When VDM arrived at the bank, someone from GT Bank contacted the EFCC. After VDM and his mother resolved their issue and were about to leave, the GT Bank gateman locked the safe door to delay them, giving the EFCC time to arrive. The EFCC operatives arrived in a black van with their faces covered. They opened the door, covered VDM’s face with a black cloth, and began be@ting him like a th!ef. They also push-ed his mother and sl@pped her. After VDM became we@k, they f0rced him into their van and drove off. It was a planned act between the EFCC and GT Bank,” VDM’s best friend Kocoper reveal.

Several Nigerians have demanded that the EFCC release VDM, thre@tening nationwide pro–tests if their demands are not met.

They have also said GT bank will have to close for what they did to VDM!

By Monday, a lot of people are planning to close their GTBank accounts—and honestly, I might just do the same.

This issue is bigger than money. It’s about justice. It’s about standing up for the truth. And it’s about showing those in power that they can’t keep bullying everyday Nigerians.

All VDM did was walk into GTBank and ask a simple question: Why is money being taken from his mother’s salary account? The bank claimed she used his BVN to take a loan. But she didn’t take any loan.

Instead of giving answers or helping out, they detained VDM and even called the EFCC on him—for simply asking questions.

That’s not just wrong. It’s wicked.

VDM has always spoken up for people who don’t have a voice. And if this is how they treat someone like him, how do you think they’d treat the rest of us?

So here’s the deal: If GTBank doesn’t come out and explain themselves properly by Monday, a lot of us will close our accounts. Peacefully. No noise. Just action.

Because when you hit them where it hurts—their money—they’ll listen.

If you care about truth, if you believe in standing up for what’s right, and if you support VDM—then close your GTBank account by Monday.

Let’s show them that Nigerians watching. And we’re not fools.
